Well, funny story behind that, before L4D was being offered for sale, there was, I think, a Gamestop promotion giving anyone who pre-ordered L4D a working demo of the game tied to their steam account.

Now the funny part was it used a unique ID keying system similar to a CD-key. But, I believe it either allowed you to put the same key in multiple times, or just let you put ANYTHING in, and it would validate and give you a demo copy.

I was one of those guys lucky enough to be told of this.

Yes, though in the state I was left off on the first round, it was next to impossible to win in that state. I got to the final room several times, but every time I could not maneuver the bots into a position where they would not be in the line of sight of the gun (and letting zombies come from the rear hole uncontested).

Should be doable with fresh resources, provided I can get a bot to actually stand behind the gun.
