  • i have been using my yoyo alot latly and the string around my finger is making a dent in my finger and it kinda hurts.... is there some king of string type or glove or somthing i could wear to stop the string from hurting my finger?

  • @SuperBabyeater99 This happens to all yoyoers. Eventually the skin around that part of your finger will get a little thicker (it builds a callus - this takes a couple of weeks) and it will stop hurting. As long as your finger is not getting a blister you should be okay. If it does get a blister you will need to stop yoyoing a couple of days for it to heal and then you should be good to go.

  • @yotricks thanks

  • Hey man, can you help me out a little bit? Heres the problem, I have no problem throwing it down and doing a sleeper, at that point its all good. I just cant make my yoyo bounce back in my hand. Any tips?

  • @snox640 If a yoyo will not come back that usually means that the bearing needs to be greased... assuming it is a ball bearing yoyo. If it is a ball bearing yoyo you will need to get a little lube (on YoTricks we sell Super Lube, for example). If it is not a ball bearing yoyo your string may be too loose, but this usually only happens to left-handed players. It could also be that you are not getting enough spin on the yoyo. It is hard to say specifically what the problem is, hopefully those help

  • I have a NED Cosmic spin. Do you have any tips for making it sleep longer?

  • @11balldude Nothing specific. It takes a while to get a good long sleeper, and that yoyo is up to the task. Just keep at it and you'll get it. The most important thing is to keep the yoyo straight. Whenever the string touches the side of the yoyo it will slow it down very quickly.

  • aout reflex sucks no matter how hard toss i only get like 4 or five secs out of it any better yoyos

  • @ashtonriggers1111 The Reflex is usually a fine yoyo and it should be able to sleep for 10-15 seconds with a decent throw. I am sure if you practice more the sleep time will improve. However, if you would like a yoyo that is not auto-return I would recommend the Luminator yoyo which you can get on the YoTricks website. It has a ball bearing and will sleep much longer than the Reflex.

  • Every time I throw a sleeper with my Duncan butterfly yoyo the string brecks and I've tried like 3 different kinds of strings can u give some tips on where to get a good trick yoyo cheap and the best kind of string to use thanks:)

  • @ImAEpicster On the YoTricks website you can get a Luminator yoyo and strings. The Luminator yoyo is a great and inexpensive ball bearing yoyo. If you get it in a kit you can even upgrade it a bit, and all the kits come with extra strings. We use the Luminator to teach all the String Tricks on the website.

    Hope this helps!

  • I have a Duncan Bumble Bee, every time I sleep it it get crooked even though I throw it straight please help D:

  • @YoMama2348 This happens to all yoyos when the spin slows down. As your throw improves you will find this happens less and less.

  • No waaay, this is my favourite trick

  • I didi the sleeper, but when I pull the string, the yoyo keeps on spinning

  • @marcusttlam1 There are lots of reasons this might be happening, although I might be able to help. What kind of yoyo do you have?

  • can you do the sleeper with a dominator yoyo

  • @BlacKHawK1058 Yes, you can do the sleeper with the Dominator yoyo.

  • @yotricks its hard can you inbox me and tell me step by step please

    i would really help thx

  • @BlacKHawK1058 The video is kind of a step by step, so I am not sure what else I could tell you unless you have specific questions.

  • @yotricks i wont stay it just keeps coming back up every time

  • @BlacKHawK1058 You may have the string caught between the bearing and the axle. Take the yoyo apart, remove the string, put the yoyo back together and then put the string on. That should do the trick.

  • @yotricks and so basically you can do string tricks with it right

  • which yoyo are you using in this video?

  • @johanrodriguez21 The Originator by Peter Fish.

  • OK so I just got the luminator in the mail and I have two questions. The first is, when I make the yoyo sleep it makes a sound like when a clutch yoyo is sleeping. Does that mean anything? Second If I want to lube the luminator bearing, can I use the yomega brand "brain lube" or do I have to use something different?

  • @TheCam432 Brain lube should work fine. Also, it is unusual for the luminator to make noise, especially when it is lubed. If you are using an unresponsive bearing, however, it is not at all unusual for the bearing to be loud - but, if you are using an unresponsive bearing you will not want to lube the bearing as this will make it responsive.

  • thank you

  • My 1st comment messed up what i was going to sya was that i use yotech level 3 yoyo will it work when making it sleep?

  • @ssxblurrage The yotech level 3 should work for sleeping.

  • I use ypt

  • how do you do the sleeper with a duncan original

  • @Kokibott I believe the original is a fixed axle. That means that if your string has a knot in the bottom it won't sleep. It also won't sleep if the string is too tight. If you loosen the string tension it should be able to sleep.

  • when i first got my yoyo i could do a good sleeper but after 2 days it keeps leaning to one side spinning around in the bottom

  • I guess I'm probably an intermediate player. I can do several good string tricks, and I've learned much from your excellent videos. However, I need to ask you a question that I'm sure you've been asked a million times: how do you get the yoyo to sleep so long? I throw the thing as hard as I can, and I can barely get six or seven trapezes out of it. You, in contrast, throw it once, and you pull out a minute and a half of continuous multiple tricks. I ask again: how do you make it sleep so long?

  • @LeopoldUlysees Keeping the yoyo straight and keeping the strings from touching the side of the yoyo are unbelievably important for long sleepers. A powerful throw helps as well, of course.

  • @yotricks Thanks. I'm getting better at keeping the string centered. It's all in the body mechanics and alignment. A great yoyo helps, too. Throw Fish!

  • I always try to throw a sleeper I throw it just like you but not once have I been successful I even use a similar yoyo to yours I need help

  • how do i do the email thingy from the website

  • also i can do 2 basic tricks without using the sleeper but they hav no name

  • i will soo im a kid though so i need to ask my perents

  • im not from america though so i cant buy one im from england

  • @cameronh569 Even though the store does not allow purchases from England, we can process it manually. If you send us an email through the contact page on YoTricks with what you would like to order I will calculate the shipping cost and get back to you so you can place an order if you like.

  • do i click on your name will it go to your website or do i need to type it in google

  • @cameronh569 In most of our videos, including this one, I have posted a link in the description.

  • how much are yo yos from you because i checked tyhere is a knot right in the middle of the string

  • @cameronh569 If you go to YoTricks all the yoyos are listed with their prices.

  • its not like a good one but it is called jaws dracco i dont know if you have heard of it but its a quick return one because the string is not very long

  • @cameronh569 It looks like that yoyo is a fixed axle yoyo. What is probably happening is there is most likely a knot in the bottom of the string around the axle and that is keeping it from sleeping. The best thing you can do is remove the string and put on a new string, or get a new yoyo with a ball bearing axle.

  • can you come to my house and teach me please its not staying at the bottom it comes back up and i followed all ur steps fully

  • @cameronh569 I don't think I can come to your house, but maybe we can figure out what is wrong. What kind of yoyo are you using?

  • its sooooooooooo HARD!!!!!

  • Can you choose the colour of the luminator when you place an order on your website; yotricks.com

  • @blochy100 You cannot choose the color on the website, but if you send us an email when you place your order (through the contact page on the website) with a color preference then we will get you that color if we have any in stock.

  • where can you buy the Luminator yoyo in stores in Canada? if anybody can answer me, please do so

  • @blochy100 I'm do not know of any stores in Canada that sell the Luminator, but YoTricks does ship to Canada if you would like to get a Luminator.

  • what type of yoyo do you use?

please answer me as soon as possible

  • @blochy100 In this video I am using an Originator yoyo by Peter Fish, but most often I use the Luminator and the Dominator which you can get at YoTricks.

  • @yotricks can you use the luminater to do looping tricks i read the description for the dominater and it said it was a good for looping tricks but i like to do more string tricks but i still do looping tricks fr0m time to time so would it be ok to use the luminater for looping tricks sometimes?

  • @blochy100 I use the Luminator to do looping tricks sometimes. That being said, if you are trying to learn to loop with the Luminator it will be much more challenging than if you were to get a Dominator to help you learn.

  • @blochy100 where can you get new break pads and other supplies?

  • are you supposed to do a sleeper with a yo yo with a fixed axel, or a transaxle?

    e?

  • @123wombats You can do the sleeper with either a fixed axle or a transaxle, but it is easier with a transaxle or a ball bearing yoyo.

  • i thin k this is the hardest trick ever

  • I think I messed up my yoyo... I can wind it without having to hold my finger over the top. I noticed a knot (which I'm fairly sure causes the problem). I think this means it will just wind back up. Has this ever happened to you?

And can I safely assume replacing the string will fix my problem?

  • is a blazer a good yo yo?

  • @TheVincentMo I've never tried the blazer, but if you are beginner it is a more advanced style yoyo (from what I've read) which means it will be difficult to use to learn the basics.

  • can i do tricks with the duncan butterfly yoyo?

  • @kweinrick Yes, you can do tricks with a duncan butterfly, but it will be incredibly challenging to learn new tricks with it. It would be much easier to learn new tricks with a ball bearing yoyo like the Luminator which you can get from YoTricks.

  • yeah. i have a crappy yoyo. I'm thinking about getting the Luminator. is it a good quality yoyo?

  • @Heatho22 The Luminator is a great yoyo if you are still working on a lot of the basics or are getting into string tricks. I would recommend getting one of the Kits on YoTricks because they come with extra strings and weight rings that help the Luminator work much better.

  • my yoyo never sleeps it just comes back up or spins out. what do i do?

  • @Heatho22 The problem you are having could be different depending on the type of yoyo you have, but most likely you have a knot in the bottom of your string. You should try replacing the string to see if that helps.

  • i have never had problems with my yoyo bouncing up and i have never been told to to make my hand push it s

  • Worked you guys rock!

  • it worked

  • Comment removed

  • i cant and i been trying 7 years now im 14 now i still cant do it NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I SUCK I GIVE UP

  • @321sanon I know how you feel. I've been trying since I was 8. I'm now 19 and I still haven't completely got it. I found a way to cheat though! :) Take a yoyo with a clutch system, remove the springs and brake pads, and wrap the bearings.

  • Hi, I'm A Beginner and I try to lift my hand but I lift it either too high or too hard nand it comes straight up. I need help!

  • @SuprH88 Unfortunately, this is one of those things that just comes with time. Just keep working on it and soon it will be so natural you won't even think about it.

  • @yotricks thanks it helped a lot

  • Why does my yoyo hate me?!

  • When i do a sleeper some times my yoyo banks to the right what should i do ?

    any tips ?

  • @franfranmoney The tilting usually works itself out with practice. It usually means that your throw is not perfectly straight. What you can do (besides practice) is try to throw the yoyo crooked leaning the opposite way, and you may find that you will actually throw it straight.

    Hope this helps!

  • fran its jepoy

  • Should I get a YoyoYoyoFactory F.A.S.T 201? Please comment, I have subscirbed and liked your video's because your amazing! Please comment.

  • @khenuiscool That Fast 201 is a good yoyo for beginners.

  • @yotricks Yeah, I am just a beginners. Also, everytime I try to throw a sleeper, my yoyo just decides to do a rattlesnake in the middle of it. Can you tell me why and how I can fix this? Thanks

  • @khenuiscool This is usually because the yoyo is being held backwards. I mention this in this video, and how it can cause the yoyo to spin sideways when you throw it. I have a feeling if you keep working on the trick, and make sure to hold the yoyo properly in your hand that should help a great deal.

  • @yotricks Thanks you so much!

  • thak you so much. GOD BLESS!

  • thank you for the feedback and i did get it to work a copell time but I think it is harder with my yoyo. And how much are the yoyos you recommend?

  • @johnkarsten1 The Luminator is $6.00 on YoTricks.

  • i have regal speed yoyo and it is heavy it is 67g and sometimes it wont come back to me but my other yoyo that is lighter comes back to me and when i sleep my regal speed yoyo after 15-20 seconds it does'nt come back to me. How can i make my regal speed yoyo come back to me whenever it is heavy and make it sleep much longer?

  • @VanDelosSantos I have never tried a regal yoyo, but it sounds like you need to learn how to bind. Do a youtube search for:

learn how to bind a yoyo

and watch our video about binding. It should help.

  • Can someone help me do a sleeper... I've tried exactly 78 videos and techniques to do the sleeper

  • @Pokemonwing If you are having a problem with this trick it sounds like your yoyo might be the problem. Most yoyos will sleep if you just drop them. If your yoyo comes back up and does not sleep when you drop it it could be one of three things.

    1. It could be a brain yoyo (automatic return) if this is the case you need to throw your yoyo harder to make it sleep.

    2. Your yoyo may have a knot on the axle. Get the knot out.

    3. Your yoyo might not be able to sleep at all. Get a ball bearing yoyo.

  • My Yo-yo only sleeps for 5 seconds. Stupid half a dollar birthday present.

  • what happens if your yoyo is not sleeping?

  • @johnkarsten1 You might have a knot on the yoyos axle or it might not be designed to sleep. If the yoyo can unscrew take it apart and get the knot out. If it cannot you may need a new yoyo. I would recommend the Luminator that we use in most of our videos. It is not too expensive and it sleeps well and easily.

  • i have a zombie and it only sleeps for about 10 sec. how do i make it longer?

  • @123pandacakes To get any yoyo to sleep longer takes a lot of practice. The Zombie should be able to sleep much longer than 10 seconds, so just keep working on your throw and it should improve.

One thing to check is to make sure that the bearing is not locked up. If the bearing does not spin then that can drastically reduce spin times. To check it take the yoyo apart and hold the yoyo by the bearing and spin it using the outside edge. If the yoyo will spin while you hold the bearing it is okay.

  • do you need a certain king of yoyo

    pls reply

  • @lego3311 The kind of yoyo you use makes a big difference in how well you will be able to play. We recommend the yoyos that we sell on YoTricks (the Dominator and the Luminator) but there are plenty of great yoyos out there if you are thinking about getting into yoyoing.

  • I have a yomega xodus 2 and mine only sleeps for about 20 seconds. How can you make it sleep longer

  • @eric101898 As long as the bearing is not rusted the Xodus 2 should sleep much longer than 20 seconds. Apart from working on your throw I can not think of any specific advice to make this particular yoyo sleep longer.

  • Idk why but my yoyo ONLY makes sleepers... It just doesn't want to act like a normal yoyo lol

  • @Speelwow This could be for a number of reasons, but I cannot be sure unless I know what kind of yoyo you have. If your yoyo is designed for unresponsive play (that is, if it is made out of metal, or is on the expensive side of yoyos) then you need to learn how to bind. If you are playing with a plastic yoyo - like a Luminator or a Dominator - most likely the bearing needs to be greased. If you have a plastic yoyo with no bearing I recommend getting a better yoyo - it will be easier to learn on.

  • @yotricks

I could send an image of it? If you wouldn't mind I'll send a message

  • When my yoyo comes back up for some reason it always rewinds the opposite way is there a way to fix this? i find it tedious to have to flip my yoyo after every throw >.>''

  • @MrlmaGuy This will happen if you are not flipping your hand over like it shows you in the video. If you just drop the yoyo and bring it back to your hand you will always need to flip it around. However, if you throw the yoyo the way we demonstrate in this video, and then flip your hand over to catch the yoyo on its way back up you should not have to flip the yoyo around in your hand any more.

    Hope this helps!

  • my sleeper comes off crooked but i know i'm holding it properly

  • @alexbakos Usually if the yoyo comes off your hand crooked that is because when you release the yoyo your palm is not facing up. One thing you can do to make sure that your palm is facing up when you release the yoyo is to slap your opposite hand with the back of your yoyo hand as you release the yoyo. This will stop you from accidentally turning your hand as you throw it.

    Hope this helps!

  • my yoyo wont come up

  • Thank u

  • 404

  • do you use a yoyo with a clutch

  • umm about where to tie the string, is it as you did, or is it on the opposite palmar side of one's knuckles?

    does it matter?
