Listening to this performance is a valuable lesson in phrasing and dynamics. I've heard this piece played by others, but when I first heard Pablo play it, it was like I heard it for the first time. His performance of this toccata is electrifying, and he gave the piece a new meaning for me. I must have played this video a hundred times, and it still sounds fresh every single time. Hooray, Pablo!!

I heard your play and many more pianists in the world playing this Toccata including myself ,but honestly there is no one I like except your beautiful performance, I don’t know were you come from but what I know for playing this kind of music it is more about feeling and living with the music an like classical music when it comes to the feeling .

Khachaturian died on 1978, so he is definitively a composer who worked recently. Being strict I don't think we can call him "contemporary" based on the fact he passed away more than 30 years ago already and also based on his music.

Por fin una interpretación de alguien que no se pasa el tempo de la obra por el forro! XD Ésta es una gran interpretación, oh sí, mucho mejor que la de gran cantidad de pianistas que tocan esta obra como quieren. (también es cierto que no hay muchas indicaciones en la partitura...).
