So many themes--obsession, sexual maturity, religion, sanity and insanity, and wonderfully complex characters. I also liked how they kept the props/scenery to a bare minimum cuz it focused more on the plot and characters.
Those people tick me off--"I want to see it only because HP is nekkid!" the play is dark and ancient, set in modern times...and, they forget how its also based a terrible event that ACTUALLY happened--I feel bad for Daniel--he's doing real art, and all anyone can focus on is his 'magical background' I'm sure he's grateful for HP giving him opportunities, but it's got to annoy him sometimes!
yeah, I know it's not such a big deal.. It's just that I wanted to say I'm not into these teenage non-talent musicals :) and I love Europe, everyday I dream about going there. But this play is abou so much more than just seeing so and so naked. The human body is a very beautiful masterpiece, and in this play, it is portrayed beautifully, and so in depth!! It really makes you stop and think the minute you walk out of that theatre.. Perfect play. <3
No, there is nakedness to show the erotic side of Alans obsession with horses. It's nothing about the body being a masterpiece it is about being mental.
I haven't see this play with Radcliffe but I seriously doubt he would have got this part without being Potter first. Not saying he's a dreadful actor but this is an extrememly hard play to act in.

My thoughts exactly. I was in stage seats and saw it all, and I didn't want to risk getting thrown out either. TTYTT, it was quite a young looking wanger - not at all what I expected. Now he's over 18 and will soon be baring it all again when Equus opens on Broadway!
i think that when people hear "oh that guy who plays Harry Potter is naked in some play", it doesn't exactly draw great publicity. but then again, as in my case, it does get some people really interested and curious about the play, and if they happen to discover great theater along with a chance to see Harry's dick, that's just a win-win.

The play has A LOT of Greco-Roman symbolism--it is far beyond modern times and a crime-psychology story. Shaffer never writes a simple play. :)

I used to be, and don't get me wrong, I still kinda am, but right now, I'm more into Johnny Depp. Yes, I DO realize he is too old for me, and basically married with two kids, but being Cherokee myself(and seeing as he is as well), he holds a deeper place in my heart. Still, gotta love Dan!

My thoughts exactly. I was in stage seats and saw it all, and I didn't want to risk getting thrown out either. TTYTT, it was quite a young looking wanger - not at all what I expected. Now he's over 18 and will soon be baring it all again when Equus opens on Broadway!

i think that when people hear "oh that guy who plays Harry Potter is naked in some play", it doesn't exactly draw great publicity. but then again, as in my case, it does get some people really interested and curious about the play, and if they happen to discover great theater along with a chance to see Harry's dick, that's just a win-win.

I'm just wondering, did people go to watch this just for the love of theater? Or they just wanted to see harry potter's dick, which most likely doesn't do any justice for his acting abilities? Would they even hear of it if Daniel Radcliffe wasn't in this?? I highly doubt.
