It used to hit multiple targets (don't know how many) on "old" WoTLK patches, it had lower dmg and would hit multiple targets, now it's dmg got much bigger but only hits one target.

well,if i am not wrong the mob in image is 'Mr boom"(or smth like that),lvl 70(or low) from Netherstorm so...u either are lvl 70(which is unimportant for wotlk content) or u either lvl 80 and bragging for doing loads of damage on weak mobs. Lame.Irelevant.

Also at lvl 80 surv hunter pets are going to get a significant damage increase. I say this because we will finally have enough points for both explosive shot and go for the throat. Explosive shot will crit all the time and your pet will gain 50 focus. Yeah it will be brutal.

second, hunters that aren't fucktards do very well in Pve and Pvp. I'm a a BM/MM hunter(50/21/0) and i do about 2800-3100 sustained dps in 10-man raids at lvl 80...

learn to play your class and you might not suck so much.

Very agreeable, I am also the cookie cutter spec ( Well, 52 in BM, I like a fast mount, sue me =P ), but hunters are a "pure dps" class, maybe off tank, but not many people's pets survive that well in raids, and if you bring a tenacity pet (other then pre 3.0.8 scorpid) you should be flogged, and we are capable of CC as well.

Personally I can see why we need a nerf, but perhaps it'll benefit us - more MM and Survival hunters is more variety - and isn't that the spice of life?

expose weakness isnt a raid buff anymore it only buffs the hunter. Surv is very mana efficient in raids groups because of thrill of the hunt + replenish(from hunting party) which buffs whenever explosive shot crits. Which is practically all the time since your surv. And whenever you use aspect of the viper you gain mana after every attack and explosive shot hits 3 time for every shot.

Explosive shot got a serious nerf. What it became was a shot that has some situational uses but nothing that can possibly considered useful. As an AoE attack, Volley is superior in every way (which got a HUGE buff). Blizzard should make this a normal hunter ability, instead of something survival hunters have to spend 51 points to get. And for that, among other reasons, Survival has become completely useless as a primary tree. Hopefully this will change.

You must know absolutely nothing about hunters. BM is still an ideal raiding spec, the other specs can compete as well now. The DPS of BM doesn't come from TBW, it comes from Serpents Swiftness. BM DPS involves spamming a StedShot macro and popping cooldowns when they're up, so it's also very mana efficient.

I said "Ideal" raiding spec, not the best. The fact is, all 3 specs are viable in end-game, pre and post patch. You're going to lose AP and crit with bm, but the stat loss is made up for by powerful talents such as Serpents Swiftness and Bestial Wrath.

BM is the ideal specc because u get Serpent's swiftness and ur pet makes huge dmg. Also taming devilsaur (with the AP shout) is a big bonus. Survival ain't so good as some day it was cos agi got nerfed (1agi=1AP now). All the speccs are very good at raiding, just different. BM gives ferocious inspiration to ur raid, marks gives trueshot aura & some armor ignore and surv gives expose weakness. They all have something to give, pick the one for u!

Tell me if i'm wrong,but, Expose Weakness is no longer party/raid wide. It only effects the hunter. Unless blizzard saw that they fucked up with that and made it how it used to be.... SV ( if you go deep enough ) Now gives .25% mana back to your raid ( Hunting part ) Sounds great but ret paladins have the same thing. They really really should bring back a raid wide EW if they have not already.

lol have you actually tried the game? Serpent's swiftness is a very powerful talent, and now when you dont have to look after ranged weapons with 2.6-2.8 speed its even nicer. Your threat is better split between you and your pet, so you can start nuking early on, and FE buff for the entire raid is pro... zip it noob

Alright . No Class is overpowered, it depends on the player and your talent tree specs; plus your gems your hotkeys. All these lil things play a factor for the Class. Come up with different strategies for the game. Everyone plays different and reacts differently to a situation. I my self have a 70 Hunter spec'd 21MM and 42SV my agility isnt high but i play my Hunter smart. I've taken out a full epic feral druid; But i've lost to a Feral Druid that was still in Greens and blues.

While we are talking about hunter utility... The talent improved hunters mark is a very good example of hunter utility. With 5/5 points spent in it, it will give the entire raid 110-440 (depending on how long the mark has been on the target) melee and ranged attack power. That's alot. And ofc there's also the 31 point MM talent trueshot aura which give the hunters pary another 125 ap. Furthermore hunter provide some of the best cc in game as traps work on all kinds of mobs in the game.
