Actually, a lot of female animals show the ability to give birth without the use of a male. It's another step in evolution. Speaking in theory female humans could evolve to have the same ability unlike males. The only draw back is that genetic diversity would go way down, making the human race more susceptible to disease, but the human race could adapt to the extinction of males.
