I' ve recently found Atheist and I' ve enjoyed every second of their first two albums (I hope I' ll buy them soon), the thrashing progressive guitar work added to Flynn's rampaging clever drumming (which entered to my favorites list) just blow me away.

But Can somebody tell me why is this considered DEATH METAL and Kreator' s Pleasure to Kill, for example, Thrash? Just because of the scene it emerged of and the year?

Kelly Shaffer just about the most down to earth person on the planet. I remember I caught him in an Exodus show I went to and at one point (after being throttled around in the mosh pit) I was walking by him and he noticed I was still shook up(not to mention I was high as hell hehe) so he asked if I was okay and helped me sit down. I was too high to thank him though, haha. Anyway Kelly Shaffer is a cool dude and the girl he brought with him was quite the looker. i'd bang her.

I like him as a front man. Very good stage presence. He interacts with the crowd and so do the rest of the band.
