  • i cant see shit

  • Can't wait to get one of these trucks

  • The SC8 is no comparison to this. If you want a really awesome kick ass short course nitro get the SC8! But they also cost more. You get what you pay for.

  • dude its called a tripod fricken det on you crack head

  • Your camera man needs a kick in the ass

  • hÍhi_àNyõnÈ_wÀnNÄ_chÁt_wïth_mé_ì_fèÈl_sO_lôNelý_tÕdÂy

  • Nitro is for people who know what they are doing and know how to drive, electric is for people who don't and want to bash. =]

  • how much does a nitro cost? im thinking about buying one

  • The elctric Slash 4x4 goes much faster and he jumps much higher(:

Just put some 3s lipo into and get over 70mph(:

  • The noise..... Dag on! Buy a Slash bro.....

  • @Clay4legacy How about you let him enjoy a nitro if he wants? It's a free country. You can have your electrics, leave us nitro nuts alone.

  • @TestECull Okay testical! I am in agreements with ya....

  • how long does it run and did u break it in by running it for a period of time at certain speeds?

  • horrable camera man...

  • Get some sway bars on that thing, trust me..

  • team associated sc8 or this?

  • @fordawsome100 Get the SC8 if you allready didn't and are still thinking of getting one. SC8 is king but they also cost more.

  • @TeaBagger5000 Slayer has reverse available. Since all Traxxas did to make the Slayer was shorten the suspension on a Revo, the Revo's gearbox will drop right in. So you simply need to find a Revo tranny with reverse and plop it in.

  • THE TRAXXAS SLAYER IS BEAST I OWN A FEW

  • just bought one hoping to get it to 80mph after gearing it up but i still love my record breaking jato 89.2 mph 2.5 chassis upgraded to 3.3 with tuned pipe geared to hell!

  • for the love of the nitro gods tune it man wayyy to rich .. as for the tmaxx 3.3 being better yes but only at bashing i have the 3.3 slayer and the 3.3 tmaxx and the slayer will eat the tmaxx alive but my 4.6 ofna ravager eats both the traxxas except for top end then the slayer gets them

  • @suthrnboy08 - rich needle = happy motor

  • yes thats true .. its ok to run it that way if you dont race them on a track but i race my Slayer and my Ofna ravanger so i cant have them running fat ..fat/rich=less power i run my other 2 t-maxx and ofna ultra mbx rich but they are just for bashing and everyday running

  • @suthrnboy08 - true, gotta lean it for racing.

  • yo man, quick question. lean = clockwise and to richen it = counter right?? or do i got it backwards?

  • looks lke your runnin a lil rich lean it up a lil and youll get a littlebit more bang

  • its not that hard to hold a camera straight.

  • you pick horrible lines....sweet ruck though !

  • ajust ur idle screw mikul32 or the idle nob on ur transmitter or its to lean richen it

  • tmaxx 3.3 is beter exept for when you break you starter shaft

  • %20 is $40 now

  • seriously its fuckin 40 bucks now i thout it was 20

  • yeah, batteries for electrics are expensive too, but fuckin nitro is ridiculous...

  • did it go reverse?

  • jesus man tune that thing! u r wayyyyy to rich

  • stupid amature question but.... Do you have to mix the gas with oil? or just streight gas? thanks !!

  • no you buy the gas mixed. it comes like 20% nitro. 15% and higher. but no you dont mix it.

  • how much is it? probably different here but still gives me an idea

  • i have 20% nitro and a gallon was like 30 bucks.

  • i just got one, and its tuned all good, but it goes by itself! the radio is set in the middle, what do i need to adjust on the engine to make it stop going by itself? HELP!

  • adjust ur idle screw.

  • Yep look at the Traxxas tuning video it will tell you about how to tune your idle screw if the car is just jerking forward its the idle screw. However if the just running check your throttle trim. Good luck.

  • so lame

  • you're shifting way too early

  • I need to join a R/C club..

Anybody know of some good ones?

  • where did you buy it? and could you by it online whats the name of the online shop for it?

  • Try towerhobbies.

  • Hobbytown USA. Yuo can oreder them online at towerhobbies

  • does towerhobbies ship to other countrys?

  • Where did you buy it?

  • If you think a Slayer is going to compete with a SC8 you are very wrong. An SC8 will destroy a Slayer. A Slayer is just an old Revo 2.5 chassis while a SC8 is a RC8 buggy chassis. No compitition on who would win. Not saying the Slayer is not a good vehicle though.

  • do u have 2 shift? clutch?

  • no it does it itself, but you can adjust the timing of the shift

  • for an extra $200+ the SC8 sure as hell better beat the slayer... its all about how much money u wanna spend

  • agreed

  • Actually the Slayer's now under 400. And you can't really compare the Slayer to the SC8. The Slayer is a 1/10 short course truck with a .20 motor. The SC8 is a 1/8 short course truck built with absolute scale realism in mind, not to mention a .28 engine. Therefore, you can't compare two trucks with different scales and engine sizes, and different designs.

  • the slayer is just as good as sc8 and half the price of the sc8. I had a trax intro buggy and that thing was built tough. but with all cars there's always upgrades out there even the sc8 is not with out upgrades so there the slayer a better pick and eraser on the wallet

  • I agree All my Traxxas cars are really strong and there are tons of upgrades for them.

  • suck my dick u fat ass r tard

  • Ive got a Slayer and have it tuned in very nicely....i love this car, though when you are on pavement it ROLLS over so easily....its really made for off road. The EZ start is great and works everytime, this car starts great for me everytime i start it. What i really like about it is that it doesnt wheelie everytime you floor it.....i hate constant wheelies. it just hangs the tires barely above the ground

  • if you want it to go on pave, change the wheels to an on road fitted compound and change the shocks it make it shorter and stiffer

  • glad you like yours I love mine. I agree with the wheelies I have a 3.3. in my nitro sport and the wheelies are ridiculous.

  • You could use a leaner tune. That smokes more than my fire place. SC8 rules and never breakes!

  • u look like your driveing this car at my school

    f-ing cool car!

    boobies (.Y.) LOLz

  • I drove it a baker prairie middle school.

  • the slayer is a smaller revo with smaller tires and large body... SC8 is wayy better

  • yeah man uh the ez start i don't like what so ever b/c my electric start burned up after my 2.5r didn't wanna start it burned up the starter so imma go to a 3.3 pull start it better be a pull start or imma not run the thing

  • I agree I like pull starts much better than the ez start.

  • yeah i just got mine last night and ran it through the first 2 tanks but stopped on the 4rd b/c the glow plug went bad it sucks i hope it doesn't damage the motor to bad or thats 170 bucks down the drain

  • Awesome video!. I Have one question. Does it roll a lot. I am considering on buying either this or the t maxx and I don't want an RC that rolls constantly while I am racing

  • If you are on road than ya it rolls alot but its very fun the sway bar kit helps alot. You will get used to it though.

  • is that two speed???

  • Ya it ias

  • thats fast as hell. its sexy.

  • SC8 is way better than this heap

  • The SC8 is a stretched out truggy with little wheels besides the body the Slayer is better.

  • Can anyone that owns one of these PM me to tell me about it. I have never used a nitro car and like this one because it is more "real" than most(no big ugly wheels STICKING OUT so far, this looks like it could be a real truck).

  • did you have to adjust the transmission to shift like that or have you not touched it becuase my t-maxx 2.5 doesn't shift like that even after i adjusted it the transmission, thinking of getting slayer for x-mas

  • No I never adjusted the shift point.

  • whats the cost and whats the speed?

  • r they 2wd?or 4wd?

  • 4wd

  • Love this hobby, but every time my Tmaxx braks down, i have to pay almost fifty bux to fix it and is this Slayer easy to own as far as reliability?

  • It's Based on the Revo, it holds up better than a maxx anyday. I had an E-Revo and I've beat the snot out of it since June, nothing broke yet.

  • That's something, but have you seen the new SUMMIT, rock craweller e-Revo?

  • thanks for the video u just confirmed my decision i got the slash brushless it got great performance but him missing the sound and smell of the nitro planning to buy a slayer for next summer i got the brushless because i lived in town and people can be pain in the ass with nitro i almost got 300$ tiket for playing with one off my nitro in the park so i sold everything for buying a brushless and i miss nitro so bad by the way sorry for my english

  • Looks like it's filmed with 10FPS, lol. Nice car anyway!

  • does it come with everything except for fuel and AAs? or do you have to buy the ez starter aswell?

and how well does that ez starter work anyway?

  • It comes with every thing but fuel AA`s and an ez start battery and charger. The EZ start works pretty good.

  • broke in my new slayer yesterday and tuning it today, i love this thing and i ain't even seen what mine can really do yet!

  • dam man u got tht thing running good maybe a lil too much fuel intake

  • Thanks I am not the best tunner still and this is my 4 th nitro engine lol

  • sounds like when you hit it hard it squeels some but takes off gooooood nice video and truck the ones here cost 484.78$

  • thanks 487 that 17 more than here.

  • so you paid 470 for yours awesome it seems like it's a waste though but i don't think so but you prolly got to much fuel on the intake cuz it drowns out then sounds idk i think it's the camera that is doing that but the camera person was all over the place dude wow but still goood video keep them coming!

  • Thanks the camera does mess with the sound and at the time this video was tooken it wasnt fully tuned yey.

  • it's ok dude i understand completely once you get the hang of the factory settings tune them up some for faster take off take it easy man peace

  • Ive got it tuned pretty well now I can get it to almost wheelie I can get one tire of the ground.

  • sweeeeeeeeeet dude take care of it and it will last a life time peace man

  • Ya my 3.3 in my Sport has lasted me almost a year.

  • thats really good keep taking care of them and you'll have your own shop going soon see ya soon peace

  • Id love to have my own shop.

  • yeah man build it like a small shack and hang stuff up and make a name for it and start making business

  • lol ya I should right now in my garage I have 5 RC`s a bunch of extra parts 1 0r two extra brushed motors 1 esc and like 4 brand new never open servos 1 clutch, 2 or three spur gears for the Jato, two bell gears I think we have 4 pinion gears a new set of Nito Sport tranny geras at least 26 tires the list goes on and on.

  • i know what you mean two savages one tornado one tt eb4 one firestorm with a mamba my place looks like a garage something always needs work thak god i can do most of it myself alot of guys break em and just take it to the shop. i cant afford that so i try and fix em myself the cost of parts still hurts though. funny i thought this was a hobby its TAKING OVER MY LIFE :)

  • damn man sounds like your already making business to me do you have any 3.3 used motor's that you don't use anymore?

  • is it just me or is that thing really quick off the line? nice truck and video......i need to get one of these. i love my slash but i think i now want a slayer....lol

  • It does seem to have good poewer off the line.

  • its great goes 47 mph stock!

  • sweet slayer-tuning sounds good to me-off the line power w/ lots of blue smoke-cant beat that.

  • Thanks

  • how fast are the electric ones?

  • Traxxas says it goes 30+

  • put a vxl in it with a lipo and you got 70..or so traxxas claims.

  • Glad to see that I'm not the only one who rolls my Slayer... I am used to my T-Maxx's slow responsive steering. I just ran my 2ond tank after the break-in... I didn't realize how worn out my T-Maxx's engine is.

  • romper444 I richind the lsn and it made it veruy sluggish off the line.

  • oops sorry I didnt mean to delete your comment I meant to replay. No this isnt my first nitro. The lsn is still at factory settings.

  • i feel like i just finished spinning in circles i like the truck so i forced myself to finish the roller coaster ride..im dizzy

  • I know the camera man is bad.

  • ur not gettin enough air to the engine thats why it sounds like that

  • Running there made my airfilter really dirty,

  • get the Revo anti-sway kit, it will be much better handling.

  • Oh my god.. I can't even finish it. It hurts my eyes.

  • Wow. Some one sucks shit balls holding the camera steady.

  • cool! wow it looks like that has more suspension roll then the slash.

  • Ya it does have more.

  • was the second part at a christmas tree farm?

  • Ya it was

  • thought so.

  • Beautiful car, man. I wanna buy one, but i live in brazil and it didn't arrive here yet. So i bought a revo. Great vid

  • Thanks I have another video of it at a track on my account.

  • So, ya finally got one, huh? Looks like a lot of fun!

  • O ya its a lot of fun.

  • It costed me 470 and it was the best 470 dollars I ever spent.
