The Mayor of Ilioupoli, an area of Athens, cancelled the play in their festival saying it is a political play and he does not want it in "his" festival.....
Such a disgrace.... The play was an amazing success in Athens this year and it will be on next year as well

Alan Rickman got the info from Rachel's Journals and her parrents, he dug in deep to make this play the best that he can... He wrote it! I think is was a great piece!

My Name is Rachel Thaler' is not the title of a play that is likely to be produced anytime soon in London. Thaler, aged 16, was blown up at a pizzeria in an Israeli shopping mall. She died after an 11-day struggle for life following the February 16, 2002 attack, when a suicide bomber approached a crowd of teenagers and blew himself up.
