No kidding, lol. I just did the best I could given the circumstances. Maybe you'll buy me a better PC?
And realistic gameplay in GRID? Don't be ridicilous, dude, I've played nearly all racing sims that exist, rF comes pretty close to being one of the top 3. GRID can hardly be called a sim even, it's too arcade. Maybe you mean graphics?
Just because some mods made for it suck doesn't mean the sim platform does. But maybe that sounds like foreign language to you. Enjoy your PS3. :)
GRiD is considered a "simcade" racer. Yes, I was referring to the graphic quality. You don't need a better PC, either. Just buy some more memory to speed things up and a better videocard to make it look better (they're not expensive...a LOT less than a new PC) I regularly play NASCAR Racing 4 (2001) NASCAR Racing 2002, NASCAR Racing 2003, NACSAR SimRacing, rFactor, GTR 2, Cross Racing Championship, ToCA Race Driver 3, X-Pand Racing as well as a new one I just discovered called "Project Torque".
Great, you're telling me what I need to buy. You think I don't know? By the time this video competition ran there was a time limit and I just did what I could within that time limit. And if you think PC parts are cheap in any country all over the world then you're in for a shock. Anyway, thanks for commenting, but for me personally there are far more important things than eye candy visuals. If you can't see beyond that, sorry but I can't help you.
And BTW, from all those titles you mentioned, only N2k2 and N2k3 count as real sims. If you wanna try proper sims I suggest you give rFactor, iRacing, Grand Prix Legends and Richard Burns Rally a go. Additionally, Live for Speed is also not bad, at least some of the cars.
Also, if you want better graphics and video composition, check out my other video, "rFactor CART 98 Season -- THOR Summer Cup 2009". I know this one could've been better, but that's how it is.
I had them on at low detail, but apparently some mods were showing no shadows at that setting. It wasn't possible to use high detail shadows with my PC, it was way too choppy for a video.
you're playing in dx7, it looks ugly!

@webjoyz Not always, depends on the mod. 5 year old PC, so there's no much choice.

You call this "the real thing"??
Ummm...okay.
I've seen better and more realistic gameplay playing GRiD on my PS3.
I think it's time for a SERIOUS upgrade to your video card, my friend.
