  • I love this video :)

  • 600 plus hp in a 2400lb car like that,is enough to hit 200 plus.scary.

  • love this video ;)

  • you indeed chose a nice song for this AMV, fits well =)

  • just wondering

what kind of engine and tranny and modifications does the devil z have

    thanks guys

  • i know the body has been modified for rigidity and the engine prob has an race block and an bigger turbo and intercooler than stock ones.

  • the motor is stock except for the LD28 crankshaft,4 mm overbored(89 mm) L3.1 liter. and a twin turbo setup. also the way the oil flows was changed. which also created a lower centre of gravity. the last 2 episodes tell this.

  • @BDXRdemon

thats just about 10% of the mods

there was a company in japan which make the replica´s

alone the mikuni carb´s and the HKS plenum cost around 6000 dollars

also the most ppl forget the diesel crank! thats what it make close to 3,1liters

    and soo many other mods

some engine builders say its near impossibel to get a L28 on the level from 800HP

  • L2800 Inline 6 Twin Turbo setup, Full Race Rigidity with 12 Point Cage, Engine Bored and Stroked to 3.0 liters, fortified cams and block, high intensity Injectors, Custom Braided Chases, Lightweight Cams, Watanabe Wheels, NISMO Rods with Racing Camshaft, as well as a slew of other parts.

It's hard to know what Turbo Setup the car uses, but the horsepower is suggested to be over 620.

  • L2800 Inline 6 engine bored and stroked to 3 liters. Twin Turbo setup with 12 point rollcage. Racing Suspension. Custom braided Chases, with high end Cams, Rods, and Pulleys. High flow air to air Intercooler, Watanabe wheels, High Intensity injectors and surge tank. Car makes at least 620 horsepower, with an estimated top speed of 200+ Miles Per Hour. Full Race Rigidity Chassis Setup, with stitch welded seams.

  • Youre mostly right except the car is a triple Weber or Mikuni carburetor with turbo. Not really possible in the real world. The devil z has its own will. I own a 240z and an r32 skyline and alot changed in the 20 years. The z gets a dangerous feeling at really high speeds where the skyline needs only one finger on the steering wheel. Great series but DO NOT build a z with 600 horsepower it would be undrivable. Just go buy a used skyline.

  • mikuni makes a blow through carb you know,

Though they cannot handle more than 12 lbs of boost(14 if you seal them).

So it IS doable but not really cost effective.

  • @JDMAero wow somebody here has done his homework..lol keep it up bro..

  • @JDMAero its a 1978 l28 carbuerated engine with a 3100 bore up so 3.1 liter , twin carbuerated turbos. off weight crank (spoken about when that evo girl begins tuning the car but only ends up lowering the motot mounts) , forged pistons & con rods , akio didnt want the fuel injection because he said it would change the spirit of the car but he did allow computer controlled spark timing everything else you said is spot on

  • @DevilsZTensai a six cylinder L2800 Kai engine, with twin-turbo. And a hand-made body.

  • @DevilsZTensai In the series they do talk about it some. At frist the body was just caged and lightened. The trans they don't take about. The engine is a L28 from a 280Z but stroked to 3.1 with a custom crank that makes it just a hair over 3.1 over the normal way of making 3.09 with the Maxima disel crank. It has triple side draft carbs with a twin turbo set-up. They even said it was a over the counter cam too. At the end the body is strengthened even more and it has underbody panels installed.

  • @DevilsZTensai I don't know about the trans, but the block is a L28 with the LD28 diesel crank making it a 3.1 stroker. It is still carb'd but running a compound turbo set-up, one smaller that has 4 cyl feeding it and its out and the other 2 cyl feeding the larger. Later on it is made a dry sump. One of the episodes it shows it for a short second. Body is a full cage and coil-over suspension. Also slotted brakes.

  • JUN used to make a stroker kit. Kameari still does. The RPM's they spun that L28 i would think they would want something stronger and fully counterweighted which the LD28 crank isnt. That engine had to have forged pistons theres no way it was running the stock cast dished pistons those wouldve melted a long time ago. Also plays a part in how fast the engine was spun.

  • @DevilsZTensai

The anime describes the devil Z as having a twin turbo carburated 3.1L stroked L28 motor...the odd thing though, is toward the end, he has the engine rebuilt and the engine builder finds that the crank is 1 mm longer per stroke than the traditional crank......as far as tranny, im assuming it has a race built 5 speed as the car was originally such...

  • @DevilsZTensai L28 twin turbo.

  • @DevilsZTensai L28 Twin Turbo 3.1 liter sequential caburettor set up with the stroke of the pisont being 1mm longer than the standard 287mm making the massive difference of being able to accelerate continuously. with stock internals except for the crank shaft and is making 600 horspower with the carburettors is almost impossible without blowing thee engine its self. so dont try it. why? because ive been there done that

  • @DevilsZTensai The S30 in this anime is based off some of the track cars that ran in the old days. Pretty accurate too The block is an L28 that has a 3.1L bore and its running twin turbo chargers and according to this anime and the records I was able to dig up the crack was extended by 1mm to improve compression. Other than that the car is pretty much similar to the extreme S30s and S130s that ran in the old days save for the wide body kit.

  • @DevilsZTensai turbo L28DET out of a 280Z

  • nice video matches the anime perfectly ME LIKE

  • The song is "Lift" from Poets of the Fall

  • Awesome! What song is this???

  • Good sh/it, finally a decent wangan amv.

  • Very good. Could I know which song you have used for this AMV?
