If NORAD was told to “stand down” how do you explain F-15 fighters ordered to intercept the high-jacked planes 6 minutes after WTC 1 was hit?

How can Dick Cheney order NORAD to “stand down” if he was never in charge of NORAD?

If WTC 7 was destroyed via controlled demolition, how do you explain firefighters predicting the building's collapse 7 hours in advance?

  • my gosh.. this video.. I watch this all the time.. explosion of talent... extraordinary performance.. the whole CD is extraordinary..

  • There aren't many artists out there that can play improvisation this well. Just puts a smile on my face and makes me want to get on the drum set and play!

  • @aussieinannarbor

i don't think there is much (or any) improvisation in this song.. doesn't matter because it's one hell of a song and i've been listening it thousands of times, but i don't think any of the solos are improvised, everything is carefully written out :)

  • @doublecyrille It's actually quite possible to improvise like that. There must be some amount of preparation (i.e playing something they liked and keeping it), but to write out that much improvisation would involve a great deal of unnecessary work.

It has obviously been taken home and cleaned up, so bits of several different performances exist on the same track, but the improvisations were probably spontaneous at the time of playing.

That being said, his arrangements are impeccable.

  • woww mui sekos

  • loved it!! awesome!!!!!

  • Just sitting on this studio for this song would be my dream vacation !!!!

  • Have seen the man in concert. He will blow you away and rock the house!!

  • I have to laugh at these pompous record collectors (obviously not musicians) that trivialize the enormously talented musicians here by comparing them with great musicians of the past. Why compare? These labels like "Smooth Jazz" are just media rhetoric. These guys are MUSICIANS, plain and simple. The fact that there's a sick arrangement on this piece instead of improvisation makes it inferior how? These small-minded wannabe's bashing the new stars is pathetic.

  • @nbfinex I've been playing professionally since age 11 and say that these "plain and simple" musicians are mere copy cats of better musicians who played this style better back in the 1970's. That's been my point all along. Everyone who thinks this is good needs to check out "Return to Forever" and "The Brecker Brothers" (especially everything Michael Brecker ever recorded) because, in my professional opinion, Brian Culbertson & Company have less soul and less technique than their predecessors.

  • @HenryAlliance

just cuz they aint the first, doesnt mean they cant be just as good. what is soul by the way, i dont think that is a technical music term.

  • vey good

  • Fantastic!!!! Dave Koz.......BIG!!!! yeaahhhh

  • great smooth jazz artists performance

  • exelente, de lo mejor q haya escuchado!!!!

  • I'm loving this!!!! Awesome, truly talented!

  • I have played reeds for more than 30 years, and I can say, you only become good through practice, practice, practice. Einstein once said that simplicity is the art or Genius. These guys make this gig look simple.

  • @harthenry Its very well presented and its real hard to do but they make it look easy

  • What's the fuck is going on here? My brain exploded. Amazing! God damn it! I love this song

  • This is just mind blowing. Love this band!! Theses guys are so great together. I especially liked the slide trombone, don't see enough of that anymore. He is so talented.

    Thanks for the video Enoc.

  • cool!..wow..that sounds good to me...

  • 2 dislikes? looks like there are 2 bieber's fans there.

  • 4:38 is that gt-8 processor??

  • 1:45 LOL :D but great player

  • Thank you for your quick reply. I'm a relative newcomer to the utube scene, but not to the music scene. Boy am I enjoying some of the performances. One final comment on BC, re his trombone playing, absolutely out of this world. Music, especially of the variety that touches the soul - look at BC's expressions whilst playing & listening - is what creates vibrancy, life & joy. All the veryy best.

  • The featured sax player in this video is Dave Koz, top of the line smooth jazz sax player. The other featured sax players in the "Live from the Inside" album are Eric Darius, Michael Lington, and Eric Marienthal. All of them are smooth jazz stars in their own right, so look em up!! Oh, and while you're at it, look up Gerald Albright!! You won't be disappointed...

  • It is obvious that I was referring to 30 years in terms of jazz/rock fusion (with some funk thrown in). It's been 50 - 60 years in terms of free form jazz creative artists and another 100 years in terms of jazz's evolution. Brian is playing a style that began 30 years go and was performed better by the originators of that style. I do not hold that against him. I want Brian to succeed musically as well as financially, but he will not get my money. I reserve my support for great living legends.

  • @HenryAlliance, hi, would you be kind enough to tell me who the sax player is with BC on Get it On, is it M Lington? Thank you. This guy & Kim Waters are my favourite musicians. This music fills me with so much joyful energy, a true gift of classic/professional & dedicated, soulful people. Absolutely superb.

  • The white dude has the black trombone.

  • amazing!!!*****

  • FIVE STAR BIG LIKE!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!

  • esto es extremadamente bueno deberia ser muy famoso

  • esto es extremadamente bueno deveria ser muy famoso

  • Sigh, why do Jazzmen get so hung up on labels. It's just a name, don't fuss over it...

  • WOW!!! it's amazing!

  • Lol...Dave Koz's face at 4:06 is like "what planet is this guy from he can play everything!"

  • this is madness!!! no, this is Brian Culbertson´s band...

  • This is smooth jazz with a funk groove & jazzy solos, but in defense of pablosaxo & jazz purists everywhere, "This isn't jazz". The closest thing to jazz here are those "jazzy solos". This has a minimum of improvisation and therefore only qualifies as "Smooth Jazz". Sure the musicianship is excellent! However, the Brecker Brothers were playing jazz/funk with REAL solos back in the 1970's. I refer you all to the "Back to Back" album with Will Lee, Don Grolnick & Steve Gadd as just one example.

  • @HenryAlliance and @pablosaxo- I completely understand your points of view. Nothing will ever compare to the uniqueness of bona fide, old school pure jazz improvisation much like there will never be another "Godfather of Soul". I also concede that current music nowdays is highly commercial, smooth jazz included. However, my intention was for people to realize that smooth jazz can be really good in a live setting such as this w/ competent musicians. Ke$ha and Gaga got nothing on this, IMHO...

  • @EnocMunoz - True enough. The studio recording is in fact a good production and the performance quality has the energy of a live concert. It reminds me of my Richmond group, "Chez Roue". I have worked with Bob Funk (trombone with the Uptown horns who worked with James Brown) and I have recorded with James Brown's son (who is very talented), so I have seen, and participated in, this type of high energy performance. There is nothing wrong with that, but I live for musical creativity and interplay!

  • @EnocMunoz Yes I agree with you its fun and its moving old skool Jazz will always be there and its great but this new stuff is great to in its own way one its new and two it feels good

  • @EnocMunoz

Why we arguing? This is straight, pure, unadulterated funk!

  • @HenryAlliance... this has everything to do with jazz.... jazz, like any other style, has to move on, develope, otherwise it becomes stale and locked in the past... if you were a fan of fats waller, then heard bill evans you would say evans wasnt playing jazz.... each new age learns from what came before, a style changes, but never loses its identity.... dont put jazz into a bubble and claim anything new or fresh doesnt belong there

  • @slapmyfunkybass Hey Slappy,

Fortunately, jazz did move on and develope "jazz/rock fusion" back in the 1970's. (Yes, there were experiments in the 1960's.) Chick's RTF plus Weather Report and the Brecker Bros were some of the best examples of that newly created genre. Brian's re-creation of that style has high energy and it looks good on video, but it's trite and 30 years behind the times. It also doesn't have John Coltrane's inspiration or Michael Brecker's virtuosity.

    Musically Yours,

    Henry

  • @slapmyfunkybass My point is also that jazz does move on and develope, but you apparently seem to have missed 30 years of innovation by the likes of Eric Dolphy, Sun Ra and Cecil Taylor. You are obviously not listening to Billy Taylor or Joel Futterman. Those are two of a handful of creative musicians who are taking jazz beyond what we have already heard and into new realms today. Musically Yours,

    Henry

  • @HenryAlliance... why 30 years? innovation has always been in jazz, not just for the last 30 years... you stated earlier this is not jazz yet you go on to say other musicians are taking jazz beyond what we have already heard which is a complete contradiction.... this is jazz, a fusion of jazz and funk... if people listen to this and it opens doors to the jazz greats then why not... stop living in the past, listen to the music for what it is

  • @slapmyfunkybass hi, would you be kind enough to tell me who the sax player is with BC on Get it On, is it M Lington? Thank you. This guy & Kim Waters are my favourite musicians. This music fills me with so much joyful energy, a true gift of classic/professional & dedicated, soulful people. Absolutely superb.

  • @alantbull1 hi... it's dave koz.... an amazing player

  • @slapmyfunkybass When the majority of mass audiences are not hip enough to appreciate the aforementioned geniuses, they'll settle for Brian C and Dave K. If the rest of the mass audience is even less discerning they'll settle for Kenny G or Boney J. Take consolation in these facts: Brian C and Dave K is are good performers plus their music is superior to Kenny G's and Boney J's.

    Musically Yours,

    Henry

  • @HenryAlliance I have to laugh at these pompous record collectors (obviously not musicians) that trivialize the enormously talented musicians here by comparing them with great musicians of the past. • hahahaha thats my band teacher on trp hittin those highs!! lol

  • who is the drummer?

  • OH HELL TO THE YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuck yeah ;]

  • i enjoyed this song more because dave and brian have got some similar gestures when they perfom, they usually act funny stuff you know like puppets hahaha and this makes their performances more enjoyable

  • that's aaron spears?

  • Is that an alto or a tenor sax? I bet it's a tenor sax but I'm not sure...
