  • rip this legend

  • He was so calm, always nice. Couldn't imagine him being mad

  • I <3 back in the day

  • The last one in 2000, I was 18 years old. I did not know he was on that long. Geez!

  • Sesame Street, Pinwheel, Today's Special, and Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was the way to go in the early 80's.

  • mr rogers ill always be your neighbor

  • No one on Earth can put their shoes on like Mr. Rogers

  • he drastically changed from 95 to 2000

  • I always loved his clothes lol

  • Mr. Rogers is one of those people you truly wish could have lived forever, but I guess that's in our hands now. The beautiful thing is that even though some of these episodes are pushing 30 to 50 years old, almost all of the lessons he taught can still be used today. Timeless. I just hope that by the time I have children, they'll have more of these shows on DVD so I can pass them down. Two DVDs with two episodes each just isn't enough.

  • I swear they just took all the good shows off tv like that's so raven & this show & Barney & Many more

  • I love mister rogers . This reminds me of my great grandpa we would watch it together .

  • that was so sad :c i always watched him not long ago & idk that he has had that show for THAT long!

    i'll he his neighboor -3 ;_________;

  • Obviosly no dislikes

  • Today marks the very sad day he was lost. RIP Mr. Rogers, very special man.

  • I always watched this show as a kid. This would be something I would live my kid to be watching, not like the shows now...

  • Watching him grow old like that just now was really sad...

  • aww this is wonderful!

  • I wonder how many times he had to change his shoes in his whole life...

  • Mr. Rodgers died on my birthday): he was my favorite! This was really sad.

  • I'm openly atheistic, and I am aware that Fred Rogers was a presbyterian minister, but that does not make me look down on him at all. In fact, he was, quite possibly, the greatest role model for my life. He is truly a hero, and I will never forget him. I cried for him as much as I did for my own great grandmother when he died.

  • I just found out he passed look I'm in a gang so its hard for me 2 cry but wen I herd this I kouldnt hold my tears

  • That was the best show ever!!!!

  • the studio changed over 40 years

  • I AM SERIOUSLY CRYING MY EYES OUT

  • I still remember the day when I heard Mister Rogers passed away. I was actually quite confused because Mister Rogers Neighborhood was before the news. And I watched an episode and the news then said Mister Rogers passed away. I didn't understand the way the tv worked back then. So i was confused how he died in merely seconds. But Mister Rogers brought alot to my childhood. Things I won't forget

  • 33 years he sang the same song without skipping a beat. That's perhaps his greatest lesson of all.

  • R.I.P Fred Rogers. you will never be forgotten.

  • i use to love mr.rogers. all the dif. color jackets he had nd the pupets nd stuff. tear tear. mr.rogers, please come back

  • @irvezy13 He's dead. Unless you knew that.

  • meow meow hello meow meow be nice, meow meow shut up, meow meow IM GONNA HIT YOU WITH A BAT! meow meow GO TO SLEEP MEOW SHUT UP STUPID CAT!!!

  • I remembered watching this show when I was younger, my dad told me about watching to one in the late 60s, though he mentioned Mr.Dressup as well. The passing of him is a loss to the world. May God bless his soul.

  • i had no idea he started out the show that young. Lol

  • "Hi"

  • i remember watching him when i was a kid in the 90's he taught me alot when i was a kid. when i heard he passed away is was one of the saddess days of my life. his show was truley a one of a kind show. no other kid show could do what he did

  • @lostbear09 My thoughts exactly.

  • @lostbear09 muahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaa

    EVIL AMERICAN DEMON PREACHER !!!!!!!!!!

You americans, and your lying television preachers.

  • @lostbear09 Mine too. I loved him through the late 80's - 90's; and was so devastated the morning he died. Nice to know someone around my generation felt the same. How true: no other kid show ever taught as much and was as powerful as what he did for 30 + years.

  • They should have ended this with Eddie Murphy's version on SNL haha

  • i know alot of you are sad now that he is gone :( and it is a sad matter because he was a wonderful man :) he wouldnt want us to sad we would want us to be happy and make a snappy new day haha :D

  • @kelsiearchuleta Right. When someone dies, they don't want anyone they care for to be sad all the time.

  • @Drewit1 sad thing is all were giving him back is shit like degrassi and hanna montana andi carly WTF i want mr rogeers back god damnit i eman am i right or am i right.. i think im right

  • They really need to make box-sets of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.

  • @ACluelessKid

they should all this crap they have on pbs besides seasame street makes me sad that Mr. rogers is gone

  • Awh, I remember watching him as a kid in the 90's. It was such a cool little show, reminded me to be nice to others. We need more people like him. RIP Mister Rogers <3

  • I met him at a small ice cream shop next to my old public library I think in Helena...I was 8...I was also speechless...

  • @Fern9812 Well congratulations!

  • The sad part is watching him get older.... knowing that time has gone by quickly, that hes passed away... no one in the world will be as inspiring as him.

  • i used to dance to that song. now i cry when i hear it...

  • :'(

  • 3 miss simple times and sweet Mr Rogers

  • 3 Miss simple

  • RIP Mr. Rogers you are now in the greatest neighborhood of them all!! Thank you for all of the great memories

  • brb crying forever

  • all the jackets/sweaters he wore are all in that closet lol have u noticed that? the 1970 one had the Blue and red sweater in their

  • he never reused an opening...what a guy

  • I remember when he died, it was all over the news. i was like 10 or 11. i didn't take much of a toll on me because i was young but to find out he died still shocked me!

  • I'm 12. I was born in 1999. And I remember watching Mr. Rogers. I used to love it. RIP!

  • I haven't watch your show but I just wanted to say that . . .

    God Bless Mr. Rogers!

  • dont wanna be mean or rude but didnt he die? Idk i am cryin cuz i use to always watch hiim when i was little!!! they don't make good shows like this anymore!! :'(((

  • @lissyissy4eva It's not really rude. We know he passed away, and I agree. THey don't make television shows like they use to anymore.

  • @Drewit1 uhh have u noticed that TV supposedly losing their touch towards shows? like freaking Cartoon network made stupid shows like gumball and almost naked animals, etc.

  • @Drewit1 yaaaa, i just don't like the word die.... but i was havin a slow moment cuz i forgot all the other terms.

  • @lissyissy4eva :'((( watching this makes me scared of his past times to his death...

  • @Toontown140 makes you scared? you mean sad???

  • @lissyissy4eva xD yeah sad.

  • @lissyissy4eva I still remember the radio waking me up that morning and the first thing I heard was the news that he had died. :(

  • @phatalbert73 awh that's so sad!!! I didn't wake up to that news!! I just heard bout it from my brother like a moth or so after he did pass on...... Cuz i was like why aren't they makin any new shows!? nd then he told me & I was like awh that suxx

  • God bless Fred Rogers, one of the nicest, most compassionate human beings to live on earth. I'm sad to have been a part of the last generation to grow up with "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood", knowing that children in the future may not have the wonderful opportunity to sit with their parents and here this man sing and speak about life in a way that children can understand. A true pioneer in the field of television and children's education, there certainly won't be another just like him.

  • Did you know that Mr. Rogers was a marine sniper in Vietnam and he always covered up his arms because they were covered in military tattoos.

  • @MrGammynumnums Actually, that was just a rumor.

  • @Drewit1

True, but our country is honored to have Fred Rogers on our side.

FWIW, he's the kind of guy who's willing to defend his buddies, and their kids.

  • @MrGammynumnums That was a false rumor that started on in internet in 1994

  • Fantastic singer!

  • man did he have to die??? :(

  • i miss mr rogers... so many good memorys... he always made me feel special

  • damn he has gone through that routine alot!

  • :) good days

  • Im asking this if anyone knows and i need the answer;

when he goes to his closet to change his jacket and shoes after he enters his crib, why does he do that and then when he ends the show, he goes to the closet to change into his original jacket and shoes when he leaves?

i couldn't figure it out and i need help.

  • @dudetocartman See the idea is he comes to visit from work. That's why he's dressed up. He changes into his sweater and sneakers to have a relaxed visit with his television neighbors.

  • @Drewit1

    thx for the info

just wanted to ask cause nobody would give me an answer, and i was too young to get the idea.

  • I really want to see some early Mister Rogers shows now..
