  • Is it quiet enough that you can make phone calls going 75 using the BT mic without people guessing every word you say? Also, what RPMs are you getting at 75 using top gear? Much appreciated.

  • @johnnyponny4 2013 genesis 2.0 comes with a turbo 4 producing 270HP. The 3.8 produces 348HP.

  • standard better then automatic/????

  • lol

  • how much does the car cost ?

  • @80Fantasma not the end of the year it's comin this summer!!! :D

  • Thanks for posting

  • Nice Car but You should've wait for the Turbo.

  • Fuck that's nice it hasn't even reached Australia yet

  • Hello, do not speak English I'm using a translator and do not understand the video that has the Veloster traction?

  • More driving videos bro!

  • really nice car :)

  • you forgot your cameraman on the side of the road...

  • There is a Turbo model coming end of this year officialy

  • nice car shame its not a bit quicker.

  • Did a testdrive with it, a bit dissapointed in the engine.. At 2500-3000 revs it's still not that punchy. It's after 4000 revs you finally feel the power. But overall, I like it tbh.

  • @JeremyTMN It's basically a replacement for the I4 Tiburon

  • for young kids to look cool. i rpefer car thats more upright and high than low rider

  • oh yeah and the tucsons auto

  • Great Review! :)

  • "why?...i dunno" lol

  • @Netsfear 138 furious ponies under the hood ;)

  • @TechnologyMafia Im 16 and my parents said i could either get this or the 2012 Hyundai Tucson...i picked the Tucson cus i like to ride high (like high off the ground not like drugs) cus the tucson is like 3.5 feet of the ground and its a big car with 7 speakers and a 8 inch sub worpher. but nice car mane

  • this car is nice dude

  • nice car! how much it cost?

  • i like this video tanks

  • the best review about the veloster and icant believe ur anormal user not even aprofessional reviewer. great quality btw

  • do you guys think it would be a good first car for me

  • 15 viewers drive KIA

  • only one door in the back !

    Strange Isnt ?

  • Love the red interior

  • You must not be a TRUE car enthusiast ... you don't have floormats for your floormats. (:

  • @ghrpdx i should get some..... :-P

  • @TechnologyMafia LOL! Thanks for the great review, I appreciate it. I'm seriously considering buying one of these. It's the perfect car for my needs. I own an 07 Accent SE (suspension and comfort upgrades over basic Accent 3-door) I bought new and run the living shit out of it every day but I do maintain it by the book. I have 122,000 miles on the clock and have spent less than $45 on repairs; An ignition switch @ $16 and a new EGR control valve @ $28. Did the repairs myself. Go Hyundai!

  • @ghrpdx The Hyundai Elantra is pretty good bang for the buck, and gets good mileage.

  • @johnnyponny4 Thanks JP4, I agree and I am also considering an Elantra Coupe. I don't like four door cars. The driver's door is always so short. The B pillar is right beside my head when I'm seated (so my ape arms are at a comfortable reach to the wheel) and I have to lean forward to look around it because it creates a blind spot. Plus, it's easier to get in when you have longer doors like on a coupe ... or the Veloster. At least on the driver's side.

  • @ghrpdx Yes, there is going to be a 200 bhp Veloster out in 2013, I believe. What do you think of the Genesis? Even the 4 banger has 200 bhp, and with a slight tweak (that will void your warranty,) you can get maybe another 100 bhp out of it.

  • @johnnyponny4 I've driven the Genesis Coupe but feel buried in it. The seat is so low and the cowl so high that I feel like a little kid in a big car. Besides, I like small, fuel efficient cars. I'm glad Hyundai is putting the 1.6 n/a in the Veloster, I'd buy that since gas is already over $4/gallon for regular here. Even the 1.8 liter in the Elantra is rated at 30/40, but I wouldn't expect to get more than 31-32 combined. We'll see what happens when I buy a new car in '13.

  • @ghrpdx lol fag

  • @kimjb95 lol ... how'd you guess?

  • did you buy the car with the tech package?

  • @saslo1231 no, this car just has the style package. tech package is another $2000 on top of the style package.

  • @TechnologyMafia What's the difference? Did you not get the Dimension speakers? I'm in Canada so I don't know what differences there are in the States. I wish we had twisties like those. More vids

  • I like the car but hate the fact that you need to get a sunroof with the upgrade packages. I'm tall and a sunroof eats up head room. Plus, who really uses a sunroof?

  • @jvolstad Yep, same boat...too tall...and can't stand sunroofs anyway.

  • Great Video..One Of The Best Walk around/Drive Video's Ive Seen...I Like The Veloster But The Genesis Coupe Is More My Type.

  • I'd love to have this car if they made a coupe/sedan option, that third door is just weird.

  • @wootness3000 it is, but most people dont notice the third door. it makes it almost as practical as a 5 door hatch, but more stylish. its a conversation starter for sure.

  • big thanks for sharing, also many thanks to SABIC for their participation in making this economic car

  • mini version GTR35 lolx, so how the drive feels good? hear that 10.2sec 100 think need turbo kit

  • @dokomora turbo model is coming out this summer.

  • Thanks for the video. I'm considering this car. Your perspective is appreciated.

  • hey at least this guy is not a name brand whore..

  • whts camera u were using to make this video ?

  • @nowlifestyle canon t2i with the 15-85mm lens

  • a lots of plastic,isnt it?

  • great video! it let me know better of this car, thanks man..

  • Cool car man. I want buy either a Mazda 3 GT or this.

  • güzel araba iç tasarımıda harika görünüyor.

  • So lets see.You hit a pothole and it wrecks your tyre.Next step go to the boot and haul out the puncture repair kit.Thread needle and start sowing the rubber back together.Finish and inflate tyre only to find the air escapes out the needle holes.

I rather have a spare tyre thanks.

  • I love owner reviews that show the whole car rather than focusing on just the driving mechanics, thank you for a job well done.

  • is there an auxilary jack? or can you hook your iphone through bluetooth?

  • The doors ruin this car. 1 door on the left and 2 on the right. POINTLESS!!!!!!

  • Interior looks cool, exterior looks like a Pokemon character

  • Nice car...

  • why wouldent you get the automatic with paddle shifters? but it is a bit more fun with all manual.

  • I wanna buy one BUT no money ~~~~~~~~~

  • cool buds~~ Really cool.

  • How did you drive that car sitting in the passenger seat and does it have a remote start

  • How do people drive with the drivers seat leaning back towards the back seats, when you first opened the driver's side door the seats are slanted back

  • I wonder how yall did the overview shots of the car while you were driving, did you tell them "get out and shoot me coming back" Iol, very much appreciated for doing those shots. It seals the deal I am in love with this car

  • @jbrow214 exactly correct. yes. i had my brother get out and do some exterior shots. i may have forgotten and left him on the side of the road for ~20 minutes........

    kidding :)

  • @TechnologyMafia does it come in automatic too or is it just a manual

  • @skittlemaster15 lol dude of course it comes in automatic, we're in america!

  • @skittlemaster15 comes in dual clutch auto (with paddle shifters) or manual.

  • i 'll give you credit I really like this car , brings new concept that not seen from american companies

  • @TechnologyMafia, Dude you sound like John Malkovich...lol.

  • wait for the turbo, that thing is awfully slow!!!

  • You should see Velosters in Korea...100MBPS data link with WCDMA connection with Wi-Broadband link ups. A real time telenav with all etm systems. We just dont have that kind of level of network service here in the US.

  • Very informative>>>>>>>Thanks.......

  • can you make a how to drive manual in your veloster

  • @mickeyoh90 a moment to learn, a lifetime to perfect :)

there are a lot of good videos about this already, but the best way to learn is by doing.

  • @TechnologyMafia but i want to learn from your veloster and your videos seem most informative and easily visible to the audience with good camera skills

  • @TechnologyMafia Translation: I'm not wrecking my new Veloster making a Youtube tutorial video. ;)

I think I'm liking this car more and more. Kind of decided on the Rio5 but I'll get that when I'm 50.

  • great review!

very through and points out all necessary functions and so on!

  • typo,

    Thorough*

  • Man ... i got KIA Cadenza 2012 Full Options ..Black color !!

  • Thanks, a great video!

  • cool~~~~~~

  • @psupccea hot.

  • im reconsidering changing my golf for a compact executive supermini, its about the Mini cooper D audi a1 1,6 tdi and the citroen DS3. Do you have any knowledge about these cars? ive still got 3 years to decide, but i want to make a good buy. Im currently driving a Golf 2.0 tdi.

  • @corax0705 Just drive all three, you'll know which one you want. Keep in mind the mini and audi will be the most expensive to maintain, and the mini is known for its poor reliability.

  • @corax0705 oh i wish we got the audi a1 in the US. that would be my choice for sure just because it looks so interesting.

  • my dream car :(

  • Don't know if its been mentioned previously but GraceNote is used to figure out Album and track info on a store bought cd.

  • @ryostyles good to know. thanks!

  • Hey Technology Mafia.. Love your channel.. I live in Australia (Brisbane) and my mate wants to buy this car when it gets released down here at the end of the year.... Is that one the Turbo version that you own?? Also this might sound weird but what part of the US is this video taken in? Love the look of your neighbourhood, love to know the name of it and make it my to go places lol

  • Good choice. Love it when I see people looking beyond the cliche Audi/Volkswagen/BMW etc. That and the Alfa Romeo Guilletta will be the choice of the trend setters

  • i love the red leather with the white exterior, have you seen the turbo that is going into production?

  • nice car, i own a 2003 tiburon gt,92,000 mi, i bought it new & 9 yrs later & 92,000 miles in it never any issues, great cars this spring I'm byuing a Genesis Coupe, can't wait for that

  • @313andy yea im really looking forward to the new gen coupe, looks good, and the engine options are very intriguing.

  • * Interesting regular-user review + HD = awesomeness! I was hoping for more interior close-ups though.

    * Comments are useful, although you kinda gave up replying after the first month! =D

    * You were dead serious in the review! You can loosen up a little, it's a Veloster review! =P

    * If you could show us more technology-related to the car. e.g. Can you view pictures/videos on the screen from a USB flash?

    * Again, thanks a bunch for this review. And I hope you'll reply or add another video 4 the V

  • @AzureWave1 yea its been a busy few weeks, i'll try to reply to everyone though. im serious about 2% of the time in real life, but have to increase that a little bit to make the video more informative and less ridiculous :D

  • love your car...

  • @Casab95 thank you sir :)

  • I feel poor now...he bought a brand new car, and he doesnt even know why..I am doing all the research I can and making sure its what I want, just for a $3,000 car...

Guess it's because I AM poor lol

  • Wow

  • Real cool

  • does it have a built in navigation system?

  • @violet0313 Nope.

  • @AzureWave1 It's optional. +$3k

  • could you measure the width and depth of the trunk for me? im curious if my snowboard would fit in one

  • i prefer i30 2012 design but this is also great car dude

  • I drove one of these yesterday :D LOVED IT! Getting one as my first car. :)

  • wow, that car is a beauty

  • who dislikes this like wtf? i think there are group of people who dislike every video

  • @0cBROOKLYNc0 I think you're right!

  • Very well done review

  • hyundais are getting better o.0

  • i want you to test the sound of the car and time 0-60

  • @ZimmersApprentices It's around 8 seconds

  • did you mean there is no spare tyre? this is a huge downfall

  • Thanks for posting this video, im very enjoy it ! :))

  • I'm a little jealous of this car even though I drive a Genesis Coupe.

  • I have the 2011 Elantra with NAV .. fuck your infosystem's much better

  • In the video you mentioned bluetooth music. Can you confirm or deny whether your model has the A2DP profile? I know A2DP is available on models with a nav, and I'm assuming yours doesn't have nav since you didn't show it. Thanks!

  • .....shoulda waited for the turbo

  • HELLO LOVER. I was sold the minute I saw it. This video was great very informative and you get a really good feel for the handling, steering, driving. It only reinforces my choice to buy!

  • what interior colors can u get?

  • @RaspberryPrincess15 black, gray, and this red

  • I'm looking at getting one fully loaded. How do you think This would handle in the snow? And any advise for driving habbits with this car?

  • I bought a white one also this past saturday. Its fully loaded: back up camera, back up sensors, keyless start, etc. I love it. Its a very fun car to drive. Its not a porche but its very fuel efficient and sharp looking.

  • Snnnooooore.....what was that 11mph @ 11:28?

  • Appreciate Dude!!! 酷!!!

  • I dislike that you are successful enough to afford a brand new car. That said, why'd you get one in white versus a color? I mean these things in green are just omg soooo yum, ya know?

  • "I decided to buy one...Why? I dont know." LOL you get a thumbs up just for that

  • Will the console read ID3v2 tag info from MP3 files, and show them on the display?

  • Looks like a focus, but not as nice.

  • This video was very helpful. Thanks for posting it. I can't wait to get my Veloster. I drove the manual but want to give the dual clutch auto a try, Wisconsin Winters can be hard to handle with a manual. Plus I'm used to driving faster sports cars and the econo six speed seems very strange to me and I was not impressed with it. I'm looking for a good daily driver thats fun and fuel effecient. most driving will be with myself or one other person. Do you think this would be a good car for me? I

  • Considering price, it is the best car for sure!

  • Why'd you pick it over a new Focus?

  • Good lookin car but doesnt make me wanna rush out and get one.

  • Your town looks too familiar.

Sir, do you live in Eugene, Oregon??? hahaha

  • thing looks sweet! love Hyundai. I am narrowing my first NEW car to two either the WRX STI or the hyundai Genesis coupe. i think i like the Gen a little better even though it isn't as fast, but less expensive.

  • @zacheryds You get a great warranty with Hyundai, but I would wait for the 2013 Gen Coupe which upgrades HP, technology, and sharpness. The Subbie is a great car for show, which makes both cars a great choice. The tech and fit and finish will be much better in the Gen Coupe because it is made to be a daily driver.

  • Thanks for sharing. This was my favorite car at this year's Arizona Auto Show. I just wish it was a little more faster. But the 40 mpg is a great trade off. The interior styling is awesome!

  • @ominousred The 'cool factor' on this car is insane. Fast? No. Sexy and sporty (and cheap? Yes! If you want performance, wait for the Turbo Veloster out this year.

  • nice car!!! in brazil we call it Slowster coz we dont have GDI injection and dont have 140 HP, we have crapy cars over here =/ and people here pay for it... this car costa 40.000 USD and it is worst than yours.... this is like crapy in my eyes =/

  • An excellent review

  • I test drove one today and they drive sooo damn good!! I actually was surpise by home fast it was also. It wont be in no drag race but its pretty fast

  • Hey man FANTASTIC video! I really appreciate the in-depth tour you gave us of your car. I'm a young driver and I would like to learn how to drive manual. This is helped me confirm what I think about the Veloster. Re-instating what Kamai08 said I was just curious what the total package cost you for this car, because I love the interior red! Thanks.

  • nice car. enjoy it :)

  • how well would a a person with a medium to bigger body physique fit in there?

and which packages do you recommend would be better now that you have had it for a while and if u regret any?

    btw beautiful place

  • @thatfreshyprince In the front, very well. In the rear, as long as you are not pushing 6ft, there is adequate space for two. I recommend the style package, as i think the panoramic roof, leather interior, upgraded stereo, accents, leather materials, etc are worth it. The tech package may or may not be worth it depending on your situation. It is a nice system, but try it out before you spend an additional $2000 for the navi and backup camera.

  • No push button start??

  • @MountainMan147 not with the style package. push button start is part of the tech package.

  • i want this car

  • *cherokee

  • do you think this car would be good as a first car for a teenage girl? (i havent researched it all that much but i still have a year and a half til i can drive by myself) im also thinking about a 2011 jeep grand cheokee

  • @RaspberryPrincess15 i think it would be a great first car. it is reliable, efficient, drives well, has a great warranty, inexpensive, etc. The Jeep is a very different car. It wont get 40mpg, but you can take it off road i suppose. Test drive before you buy. There are a lot of great cars out there - keep your options open :)

  • @RaspberryPrincess15 lol the veloster and jeep grand cherokee are about as opposite kinds of vehicle as you could choose, so I think your first step should be deciding what exactly it is you want out of a vehicle.

  • Looks good but ?, if the Turbo Veloster does come out will you be upgraded?

  • @gsxellence haha good question. I usually upgrade cars VERY often. Honestly though I dont think i will. I think the 140hp is adequate, and I am enjoying the payoffs at the gas pump. If the turbo veloster is in the 25k price range, there are a lot of 1-3 year old used cars i would consider before the turbo veloster. That's just me though :)

  • @TechnologyMafia A USD25k car in Australia where I live would cost around $50k. The Mazda MX-5 Miata is the perfect example. For that money, I'd rather get the Miata or Mazda MPS 2.3l turbo (Mazdaspeed in the USA?) which cost $40k.

Besides, the turbo looks fugly with the gaping grille. Why they chose a front mounted intercooler instead of a top mounted one with hood scoop is beyond me.

  • @TechnologyMafia hey im very tall and was wondering do you think there would be enough head room

  • @skittlemaster15 yes, you'll be fine. 6' and above fit well in the front, rear is a bit tight, but shorter people and children will be fine back there.

  • @gsxellence the turbo is coming out and it will be so much better then this model

  • you shoulda waited for the turbo!
