  • 나참..단순한 외국인들 참 많네...

  • This is kindda stupid, the cold war ended years ago...even the Germans knew it well...but how the hell the Koreans manage to keep themselves walled...come on this is not 1960.

  • @Izkzmach crazy and very sad that it continues to this day

  • @Izkzmach they have little dicks they are always gonna be mad and jealous of the rest of the world. i bet if a black man went over tehre he would be stoned AHAHAHA

  • @imbluntednigguh haha this guy needs to go back to school. Still talking about penis. Grow up dude!

  • I've heard that while the South Korean guards are opening the doors in the meeting rooms they hold hands so the North Koreans can not pull the South Koreans into North Korea.

  • @yak52aholic i didn't hear that but it wouldn't surprise me.

  • @channel131guy

It was shown in a documentary by a doctor who went to North Korea to do eye surgery.

  • @Xestriker interesting. there certainly is a lot of tension there. you can see/feel it while you are there.

  • what if they need to do maintenance work on the buildings or the demarcation concrete line. How is that arranged? who gets the burden of maintaining the buildings and the demarcations? i think its stupid how people are divided not by oceans and landmass but by political ideologies.

  • @j12torts you bring about a very interesting point which i don't have the answer to. but i can tell you this. the north koreans ALSO give tours at the DMZ, and also enter that same building when the South Koreans/Americans are not in there to give their tours. The two sides sometimes meet in there for "talks."

  • @channel131guy seriously the soldiers should just hug each other since they're pretty much within an arms reach lol it's just stupid. The Korean peninsula is such a nice part of the world but the human political system and ideology destroys the beauty of it.

Oh just for a fun note: what happens if one solier wink at another? lol hahaha I'm sure that has happened. Or if there is a really hot woman on the other side of the line? lol

  • @j12torts lol

  • lol funny thing is th reason why the country split was because of china hahahahaha

  • If you are on the run from the law then defecting to north korea would be a fantastic place to hide out. Cool huh?

  • For the curious, most videos only show the MAC building. I found one that shows the inside of one of the silver buildings The Czech N.N.S.C. building. It can be found at w w w . y o u t u b e .c o m / watch?v=e2d5I4kZK-Y The video is dated, but it give a rare glimpse of how the other side lived.

  • dam and my mom tells me not to play xbox maybe i shall tell her to take me to korea and play with actuall guns jk no offence to no one

  • There could be peace but North Korea teachings their kids to hate America.

  • Very sad. 60 Years plus. Same family lines. Same last names. Same language. Same religion. Why not just hug and make up. Father and maker in heaven seen enough sad things. This is why we need his Kingdom to fix these problems and not man. Matthew 6:9,10 Ps. 37:10,11 Matthew 5:5 Revelation 21:3,4

  • People are dumb, they can't come to peace their two opposite goverments

  • Why does the North & South Korea's have to fight I say? why can't they seek peace and become one country someday...The evil North, enough already ok, this is not the way, as John Lennon would say," give peace a chance today?". Lets hope for peace and the tension fizzle today, put down your AK's and no nuclear ever noway. Let the children play together in harmony all the way. No more labor camps or starvation, " STOP THE FIGHTING TODAY! no more hostility or bloodshed Peace I hope someday.

  • I'm assuming you couldn't show the lady's face since you censored it....

  • @darkspire91 truthfully, i could...but she asked me not to so i didn't.

  • If I were visiting the DMZ and happened to have a frisbee with me, uhm, that would be way too tempting.

  • nice job. great vid!

  • thanks so much! it was a real eye-opener going there.

  • @channel131guy Iiked your video, ugh 5 years ago I was an ROK military police guarding at the JSA. I had to guard that blue building standing ABSOLUTELY still, night time, i had to go on patrol in the DMZ. Tourists can be annoying some times, but rest is all good. They are pretty strict about everything when you join the specific force in the Korean Army. I was 180 (I barely made the cut) and you need to keep your face while guarding it, and if you cause a mistake, you will be transfered.

  • @woo1693 seriously? that's amazing. i have a lot of respect for you guys. it was quite an awesome experience visiting...sad to still see the split between the two countries. did you ever have any issues with the north's soldiers??

  • @channel131guy Well not much but I specifically didn't like one guy. He seemed older than me, and every time we met he just glared at me and spat on the ground, like he was insulting me in some way. However I got used to it though, since I saw him most of the time during my shift.

  • @woo1693 that guy was just insecure and trying to act like the "top dog"...lol

  • @channel131guy Also when I was in the army, a soldier went crazy shooting up all his platoon mates... it was crazy, i was scared that might happen to me and that was the first time I really wanted to transfer out of the unit.

  • Long live the great leaders Kim Jomg Il and Nancy Pelosi and the people wuo whorship them. Vote for Pelosi for the next Great Leader of DPRK.

  • This is a really well put together piece of travel journalism. Thanks!

  • thank you for that nice comment! i appreciate it greatly!

  • This is puzzeling me

As member of one of the UN nations that participated in the Korean war are you not allowed to go on tours of the DMZ/JSA while on leave? or would you be allowed to go on the tour but make sure you leave your military id at the hotel?

  • hi..thanks for the tip. i was told by our tour guide it was 600 pounds. and i just did a google search; "north korean flag 600 pounds" and so many articles came up. but then i did one too with "north korean flag 300 pounds" and a lot of articles also came up as well. you may be right. i really don't know if its 3 or 600 pounds. but damn..that flag is monster big! thanks for wathing my video. i do appreciate it!

  • oh thanks..army base cool!

well thanks for the time on reply on my comments! :D hope i could travel at DMZ hwere i could see a lot of soldiers..(i really like soldiers)

    have a good day! :)

  • yeah..

sadly north are kinda raising tensions..

well try to watch J.S.A a south korean film..it's really nice...

by the way does US Army also help gaurding the DMZ?

  • absolutely. the dmz is basically right next to an american army base. so we actually received instructions from u.s. military officials.

  • hi! i came from philippines and your video is really nice..

the soldier with sun glasses looks tough!

and nice you went to north korea in just seconds.. :D

hope for reunification of korea.. :D

    nice vid!

  • thank you so much for your kind comment! it was an amazing experience to go there and see it first-hand. i too hope for a reunification and would love to see the north under peaceful conditions some time.

  • I am wondering, is there any type of dress code to go on this tour? and how did you book this tour? :)

  • i wonder why does the south korean soldier use sunglasses? is it to apear more emotionless and to show no facial expression?

  • that's a good question. i'm really not sure...but seems like you are on to something!

  • It's more like a psychological tool i believe. Also north Korean soldier can't find out where he is looking at.

  • thanks man!! i work as a news journalist, but my true passion is travel.

  • Great Videos! I envy you haha.. just curious...what is your job??!!?!

  • I was there patrolling along the DMZ back in 05, thanks for sharing. good stuff

  • that must have been an unreal experience. i found it quite fascinating going there and seeing the tensions still taking place after all these years. thank you for watching my video. and thank you for your service too!

  • no..that was actually a museum on the south side right there...and that was a replica of a typical north korean classroom. the only time we were in north korea was when we went from one side of that table to another. (but we were protected.) interesting footnote: the north koreans also give tours of the dmz...but when they are in that building, the south tours must stay out and vice-versa.

  • Hey Channel ! Good video ! I am glad to be a Chinese Canadian !

  • in that part where the woman said "To Kill America," were you in a North Korean mall (in the North Korean side)?

  • I think you can find find north Korean products in neutral zone.

  • that is very humbling to hear that. thank you for your service.
