They didn't. They reinstated the single shot of Morag when Dannii Minogue's character was added to the credits as Marilyn left for a few months. When Morag left, they replaced her shot with a filler shot with yellow graphics. Marilyn did return during this point. However, they obviously thought it more important to put Grant into the titles when he arrived rather than Marilyn.
Strange that they didn't add Marilyn at the same time as Adam and Viv. Even stranger that they shortly drop the shot of Viv on her own, introduce a shot of Viv and Carly together and a single shot of Bobby.
The joke is they eventually added Marilyn to a new shot of Morag in '89 but took her out after Morag left and only added her again after Tom. Same happened with Matt when he left in '88 and came back the same year as a regular but didn't get back into the credits until early 1990!
Yup, a new era is ushered in with the addition of adam, and soon- viv. And remember, dannii minogue will be joining everybody soon enough aswell. I remember loads from what will happen on the show over the next few months. The small town charm of the first year is still there, but with a bigger scope. The storylines get even better aswell with a more serious tone at times- greatly seen here in the opening minutes- balanced brilliantly with comedy from lance just being himself.

Do u remember the scene where she wanted to just wear punk clothing in class at Summer Bay High and Donald Fisher wasn't havin' any of it, then "Emma" who Dannii played got all her classmates to join in as well, in one hilarious scene where they have the stereo on in class, Don Fisher walks into the class in a leather biker jacket and sun glasses and turns the stereo off, and the look on dannii minogue's face man!!, haha!! Do u remember this?
@thrasher1889 Yes, I remember that. And I actually saw that scene a while ago on some Dannii related clips on youtube that have since been taken down. I was 10-11 around the time all this was originally shown.I used to watch the show twice daily- on ITV, and then later that day on a station here in Ireland, where H+A was was a few months ahead of ITV! 20 years ago-- amazing.
Im looking forward to the Summer Bay shark story. Remember that?
New titles! New era in H&A (First real transitional one). Out with Frank and Roo, in with Viv and Adam. But the real changes don't take place until the next year.
