  • to all you kirkbashers out there, making this awesome solo up is far more difficult then playing it. But its the invention of the solo thats the hard part.

  • one of the greatest guitar solo of all time

  • sup with the crazy backround?

  • how to do in sony vegas

  • Sad But True is actually a pretty easy song, but I LOVE to play it :D

  • You know Metallica's solos are actually not so difficult to play, they only sound difficult all you need is a technique. Awesome Cover very clean and good sound!

  • What programs do you use to make this effect? like you playing 2 times

  • @archermikekillex I movie if you have mac, or sony vegas for windows

  • wow you made it look very easy :O... good job NIGGER! oh srry.. dude.. :)

  • @Kandurananda Hát nem mondod hogy magyar vagy? Eszméletlen jók a coverjeid!:) Hol tanultál meg ilyen jól gitározni? Mellesleg az ESP Horizon azért befigyel:P Csodás példány :D

  • As much as you play it very well, I have to admit that I hate Hammett´s post 80´s solo style. He was never the best IMHO, but he did some pretty tasty stuff in the 80s. I just don´t like his average, bluesy, wah wah pedal pentatonic basics anymore.

The only reason I´m here it´s because I didn´t remembered the solo. So I´m out of here!

  • oh my god i can do the solo but my Digitech Metal Master OR my Dimavery EXTREMELY crappy amp doesnt sound good. What is the gear your using?

  • uhh, wisdomos a báááácsiiii:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • excelente suena, es igual al original 100 puntos congratulaciones yeahhhhhhhhhhh

  • on a scale 1 to 10 how hard is this solo?

  • @taxma 3 or 4 .. but if you compare it with other kirk hammett solos it's 2 i gues xD

  • For the really quick bit in solo 1, you don't have to use the little finger?? I didn't know that

  • @meonmyguitar When did you see Kirk using his little finger? :P Just kidding.... XD

  • @Kandurananda Hehe well at least you know your vid taught me something :D All your solos are great btw. They're so clean and note perfect!

  • @Kandurananda hahah excellent comment =)

  • @meonmyguitar i have never seen Kirk do anything really quick except when he jerks off

  • hi, what's the name of your band :)?

  • @jmdb1994 Hi, it's Wisdom :)

  • @Kandurananda where can i buy them or listened to you?

  • @jmdb1994 You can buy our CD's at wisdom . hu, or you can view some of my lessons on guitarmasterclass . net.

  • que camara usas ????

  • @david12211000 Do you refer to the camera? It's a Panasonic HDC-SD9.

  • can u tell me, what would be the precise gadget and amps that it looks like mtallca sounds...

  • @71njc In this lesson I don't use real amps, I use emulators. Revalver MK III for this in particular.

  • tnx, man..gud work..8s really sounds like kirk..

  • @71njc Thank you!

  • kirk is that you?

  • @NewKorisnik1 :) It's me in disguise ... :D

    Just kidding :P

  • @NewKorisnik1 No this guy's technique is better than Kirk's

  • @NewKorisnik1 nope its not him, he can't play this good :P

  • awsome playing man

    what pickups are those?

  • @thejack1212 Seymours.

  • ok, thanks a lot!

  • awesome playing man! so i know ur not using an amp but do u mind telling me ur tone settings 2 get kirks sound? everything is spot on

  • @naughtypersian Thank you! I used Revalver MK III here, but the demo version doesn't support the saving of the tones. I remember using Peavey XXX and experimenting in TRacks 3, but can't remember the settings.

  • @Kandurananda oh well its kool, keep rockin man

  • @naughtypersian Thank you! Unfortunately I don't have the presets, because I used Revalver MK III demo version, where you cannot save your presets. I think I used Peavey tripple X head but I don't quite remember the cab...also used some EQ, and later on I've exported everything to TRACKS 3...

  • Hey there,

I really like your videos, awesome playing!

May I ask what kind of amp you use?

Your tone is almost identical to the originals!

    Thanks in advance

  • @Calaghi Thanx man! I don't use amps for these vids. For this in particular, I used the Revalver MK III demo.

  • @Kandurananda

Woow, that such software can give you that great sound!

How did you plug your guitar into the pc? And what sound card are you using?

    Thanks for the info!

  • @Calaghi I plug my guitar to an external soundcard. Line 6 UX1 works for me.

  • @Calaghi I use an external soundcard. Line 6 UX1 does the job, as for the effects, I use the Revalver MK III here.

  • @Kandurananda

Hmm, I'm trying out revalver mk3 atm. Plugged my guitar straight into my microphone port of my laptop. I do get sound from revalver, but it is slightly delayed, and there is ALOT of static on the background, even after using a noisegate.

    How do you fix this?

And what amps etc you use for the sad but true video?

    Thanks!

  • @Calaghi You have to use an external soundcard to fix the delay problem.

  • @Calaghi Thanx man, check out my other answers on this board, but actually I don't use a real amp...

  • Excelent, better than Kirk now.

  • Seymour Duncan SH-1n, Seymour DuncanTB-4

The ones that originally came with the guitar. I'm thinking about changing them, but actually I really like those...

  • It would sound better with EMg 51/60

  • You mean more like Metallica on the Black album? :)

  • In all their albums

I love EMGs 81/60 theyre active

but if you want a nice clean tone

    EMGs are not good enough..

  • @hecmetallica you mean emg 81/60?

  • can you please tell me what pick ups do you use?
