Thank you, Larry Knechtel, for leaving this iconic piece of music for the world to always remember. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" will forever be played with your arrangement, your licks.
Vince has an amazing voice, in fact an extraordinary voice. I really didn't think ANYONE could equal Garfunkel on this song but he does. BUT, the piano on this is atrocious!
Piano soulfully played by Musicians Hall of Fame inductee Larry Knechtel who also won a grammy for his piano playing on the original Simon and Garfunkel version in 1971. Larry has played on thousands of recordings, beginning with Duane Eddy, Johnny Rivers, Mamas and Papas, Byrds, The Doors, Elvis, and many others, also as a member of the group Bread, and lately with The Dixie Chicks. Congratulations Larry for being entered into the Musicians Hall Of Fame. Oh Yeah, Vince is awesome too!
Vince, who performed several songs during Monday's inaugural Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum's induction ceremony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. (His spectacular version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was one of the night's highlights. If you see Vince today, ask him when he's recording his version. It's that good.)" -The Tennessean
