  • And Meng could really kill Goldberg in a real fight!!

  • This was Haku's first promo since 1989.

  • Fuck the two black shirt guys!

  • @TheCSXGUY yea i got the two confused for some reason

  • Is Meng the father of that guy with Hunico, Kamacho?

  • @aulaw2011 Yes he is. He has another son who wrestles in Japan as "Tama Tonga"

  • first time i hear haku meng speaking english

  • Did you guys know Meng is actually a genius who attended college at the age of 10?

  • Haku Fatu

  • @dreboking: No, Tonga Uliuli Fifita is not related to the Fatus (Rikishi, Tonga Kid, Umaga, the Usos) or the Anoais (Afa, Sika, Samu, Rosey, L.A. Smooth, Afa Jr., the Black Pearl). He is Tongan, not Samoan.

  • @JKTube oh yea i got confused by that thanks for the correction

  • @dreboking: You're welcome. BTW, I left out Yokozuna (RIP) from the Anoa'is.

  • i love to see Goldberg wining , but its just minimum time , 2-5 min matches lol come on??? its to easy for Goldberg

  • I always laughed when they'd break out that "THEMONSTERMENGISONTHELOOSE" clip every 6 months when they'd give Meng a one-day push as a killer, so they could job him to someone higher on the card. Meng was cool enough though to always have that cred as dangerous, and was pretty much job-proof meaning it didn't matter how many times he lost. It never affected his credbility. That's a pretty good credit to a wrestler, esp. one like Meng who barely talked.

  • This fight reminds me 'Mark Henry vs Ezekiel Jackson'.

  • Meng would rip Goldberg's teeth out of his mouth if he wanted to.

  • @arana001 You realize wrestling is scripted right, and that Meng doesn't actually mind losing to Goldberg since he's getting paid very good money to do so as part of his job.

  • @peterp21 doesn't change what I said

  • @peterp21 There was a funny indicent in real life where they wanted to fire Meng after a tirade in the back but everyone was too scared to do so. So they bought in Hulk Hogan, who Meng respected, and he managed to both convince Meng to calm down and the brass to let him keep his job. So that's win-win.

  • @Dynaman21 Didn't he bite someones nose off or something?

  • Meng and The Barbarian were both part of a group of young kids sent to Japan by their King in Tonga to learn sumo.

  • FUCK ALL OF PEOPLE. Goldberg is the best of all time in wwf wcw & wwe.

  • WOw this is the 1st time hearing Meng cut a promo, probably his ONLY promo in WCW.

  • ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS WCW? THEY MADE MENG LOOK LIKE A WEAK PEICE OF CRAP. MENG WOULD DESTROY GOLDBERG WITHIN A MINUTE.

  • Russo is a fucking retard. One day I hope to fight him

  • The first Umaga

  • meng was the shit i miss him

  • Another tackle that sent another opponent through the mat!!

  • Man, I liked WCW in 2000, people always talk smack about how bad it was, but really, I enjoyed it more then 1999, which was a jumbled up mess. 2000 saw storylines that lasted, although a lot of title changes (sometimes on a nightly basis), the show wasn't as bad as people want to assume, since that's the sexy thing to do.

  • @krazygreen their titles didn't mean shit tho,the world title was passed around nearly 30 times in 2000,to say that storylines lasted,no they didn't because Vince Russo thought they could do everything at once, waste millions of dollars just to push a ratings increase.

  • meng would kill goldberg if he wasn't the golden boy of the company

  • @merpski Maybe you misapply and miscomprehend the fact that Goldberg integrated his martial arts training with his football proficiency. King Haku/Meng has ability as well.

Moreover, Goldberg, contrary to your observations, was not the "golden boy" if you recollect, Goldberg lost to Kevin Nash

  • @lburdeos464 I'm sure Goldberg's tough, but I doubt he'd be able to hold his own against a guy like Haku/Meng. If half of the legends about the guy are true, he's an absolute monster. I wouldn't doubt it considering he's a Pacific Islander. Those guys can probably crack boulders with their heads. Also, although he lost to Nash, Goldberg could be called WCW's golden boy given his undefeated streak. Depending on how you look at it, that "title" could also be given to Sting.

  • @gaatakek As you allege the "if the legends about him are true", so it is probably just a true that Haku/Meng has lost.

Moreover, Goldberg's proficiency in martial arts/football would enable him to be able to smash through walls Did it escape your ambit of cognizance that Goldberg broke car windows?

He slammed two five hundred pound men?

Restraint is judgment is warranted here.

Again, Goldberg was not the "golden boy"-he lost-recollect!!

    "Sting" a champion-probably.

  • @lburdeos464 There's a difference between car windows and walls, and your assumption that Goldberg would be able to "smash through" walls using his martial arts/football skills is hilarious. Once again, we could speculate endlessly, and I'm not trying to say Goldberg was a weakling, because he obviously wasn't, but going by the legends of Meng/Haku, I'd place my money on him in a real-life fight. Have a good day.

  • @gaatakek I would maintain that Goldberg would smash through walls-football players train that way.

  • @merpski exactly! I've read countless stories from former wrestlers who all say he was legit the toughest bastard you'd ever meet!

  • it might have been a short match but thats to make the russo guy look like a douche

  • All that build up for a squash?

Fuck WCW sucked in it's final couple of years- it deserved the rape it got by that increasingly irrelevant asshole McMahon.

  • 5 months later and WCW was out of business :-(

  • Plus, Meng ripped out one of Jimmy Jack Funk's eyes out.

  • WOW LESS THAN ONE MINUTE.

  • Meng speaks?...all i ever heard him says was AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • Wasn't it Meng who won the hardcore title and walked off with it, thus ending the WCW hardcore title in WCW around 2000-2001?

  • @Nyvie87 yes then he gave it to Barbarian I believe it was the nitro before the last

  • S.O.L. means "shit outta luck", as in anyone who ever crossed the legit baddest man in pro wrestling history, Meng, was shit outta luck.

  • the one person that disliked was meng

  • very horrible commentary

  • On the street it would not have been a fair fight...meng is a fuckin monster

  • people lets not get it twisted just because Goldberg got a huge push on tv doesnt mean he's a legit tough guy. Meng was one of the most feared men in wrestling. Bad News Brown said in his shoot interview he'd never fuck with Meng and thats coming from a guy who offered Andre the Giant outside and Andre backed down!

  • stupid guy... goldberg will eat jericho little ass man

and meng are also nothung for him

  • king haku kicks ass!!!!!!!!!

  • If you are asking me how I know Goldberg was fast, you rally haven't seen enough of his matches. Sumo wrestling is tough, and so is football. Sumo has very few practical applications in fighting so whether Meng did it or not is not relavant. Footballers had no fighting spirit? Come on! BTW, Goldberg did a back flip at that size. Pure agility, strength size and coordination = BEAST!!! Ask any fighter.

  • how do you know goldberg was fast? goldberg was a football player, he has no fighting experience, meng was sumo, he had the spirit to fight, unlike goldberg

i think goldberg wouldnt even dare to take on meng in a real fight, not even in his prime, believe me he would get destroyed

  • @jamal2021 Doubt it. Goldberg was a super athletic monster!

  • @murozman

trust me, he wouldnt stand a chance against meng, goldberg had good lifting power, he looked good musclewise, but meng is a crazy mofo, if goldberg were to piss off meng he'd better make sure he had lots of security to pull meng off him, or he'd wake up in the hospital :p

  • @Elfop1ccolo Sure Meng had power, maybe more than Goldberg but you have to understand, just because someone is stronger than you doesn't mean they can beat u in a fight. Strength helps but it's not sufficient. Goldberg had strenght AND lots of agility, the man was fast. Trust me, as a boxer I know, beyond a certain level of power, strength matters less. They both had damaging power but Goldberg was more conditioned. Do you see guys who look like Meng in boxing or MMA? Ha? I didn't think so.

  • @murozman um goldberg lost to chris jericho in a fight in real life LOL

  • @ACEntertatinment This gets thrown around so much it gets boring. Jericho got him in a choke hold and Goldberg couldn't escape until the other guy's cut in and stopped the whole thing. There was no FIGHT! Also Jericho was an excellent wrestler so he had superior wrestling skills. Fighting also has a luck component, he saw a chance and he took it.

  • @murozman also in a real fight Meng was said to have knocked out 2 people @ once and ripped some dudes nose or ear off

  • @ACEntertatinment Really! Meng did that! Two guys! Nose, ear! OMG!!!

Seriously man, come on, even if he did(I doubt the ear and nose part), that in no way proves he could kick Goldberg's ass. The thing about knocking two guys out isn't impressive at all for any particularly large or skilled fighter.Even I can do that.

  • @murozman for the last time, CHRIS JERICHO BEAT UP GOLDBERG... and i doubt you are capable of doing anything that Meng did lmao.

  • @ACEntertatinment What the hell did Meng do that's so impressive. Tell me! Maybe I'm missing the point. You say you doubt I can do anything Meng did. What do you mean by that?

Meng is not very agile. He's slow and clumsy. Goldberg is the complete opposite, being a former Atlanta Falcons lineback, he's the definition of explosive power and agility. Meng is clearly a very strong guy but that's not what wins you a fight.

BTW saying " ... CHRIS JERICHO BEAT UP GOLDBERG... " IS NOT an argument!

  • @murozman definitely a goldberg fanboy lol.just cuz he beats meng on tv don't mean he can do it in reality.meng proved his strength time n time again in both the wcw n wwf,as well as his discipline from his sumo background.im a goldberg fan,but what does he have on meng besides being an ex-linebacker?NOTHING!talk when u knock out two ppl in one blow(i mean for real).also,if jericho beat goldberg in real life who cares if it was by choke hold.its a brawl so winning is winning, luck is irrelevant.

  • @MrSFblack @ that time he was not just an ex-linebacker...goldberg was already involved in martial arts during this time, so i'm willing to bet you any money that if this match were actually a real fight, meng would have a tough battle against goldberg

  • @angelenriqu1 Excellent observation-Goldberg learned martial arts and combined that knowledge with his football/weight training and physical prowess, Goldberg would excell at MMA!

  • @angelenriqu1 Martial artist or not, Goldberg would be crushed by Meng/Haku. No competition there. I'm sure Goldberg was a tough S.O.B. but Meng was an absolute monster. Incidentally, Chris Jericho got the advantage in a brief, real-life backstage scuffle with Goldberg.

  • @gaatakek The exact parameters of that "incident"involving Jericho and Goldberg have yet to be proven by independent evidence or witnesses.

  • @lburdeos464 Very true, and I'm not sure why I even brought it up. That being said, we could speculate about this endlessly, but we'll probably never know who'd win in a fight between the two. However, if the accounts are to believed, most of other wrestlers who knew the two would probably place their money on Meng/Haku (although that too is obviously pure speculation on my part), and to be honest, I think their opinion is probably better-informed than your own or mine.

  • @gaatakek Probably, but we will never have nor see a "real-non-wrestling fight" between Goldberg and Meng/Haku.

I would contend that the wrestlers-depending upon their likes or dislikes-would have their concept of who could conquer the other.

For now, Goldberg was the WCW champion;but, lost and WCW with all of the internal strife and deranged business decisions exist no more.

Only WWE, yes, TNA exists;however, not at the level of WWE.

I am pro-and college wrestling and strong football fan.

  • @gaatakek People like to use the whole Jericho incident a lot. As you say it was just a "brief ... scuffle" and was was stopped straight away by others before any punches were thrown. On the Meng issue, Meng sounded more like a violent bully who beat up smaller guys and never someone equally as big and violent.

I don't know the extent of Goldberg's martial arts skill set but I can tell you this, a decent actual fighter would kill Meng. Meng was a beast but he wasn't a very coordinated athlete.

  • @murozman It's odd how you seem to speak on the subject with such authority. I'm not insulting you by the way, just making an observation. Since we can only go by legends, let's not forget the time Meng apparently snapped some handcuffs and beat up at least half a dozen cops. I've heard it was twelve cops, and I've heard it was seven, so I'll just say half a dozen. And I use the Jericho fight because it shows Goldberg might not have had as much skill as you'd like to think.

  • @gaatakek No, no no. I didn't say you insulted me in any way.

"Meng apparently snapped some handcuffs" Ok that's impressive. Some people can do that (e.g the guy on Superhuman Strongman, check it out, he's average sized). Doesn't prove he can fight.

"...beat up at least half a dozen cops" . It really depends on the size an skill of the cops. I mean Meng is Huge, he obviously had lots of power but what about a guy who punches just as hard and has resonable defence? Meng was just a bully :-p

  • @murozman Cops are usually pretty well-trained. You can't just come to the conclusion that a guy has a lot of strength but no skill if he beats up at least half a dozen cops. Why do you keep calling Haku a bully? The closest he's ever coming to bullying someone (as far as us fans know) was when he allegedly chokelifted Brutus Beefcake for complaining about him. In fact he defended a ditch worker in Puerto Rico by gouging out Jesse Barr's eye. He even apologized later. Doesn't sound like a bully.

  • @gaatakek Cop training is not that good. It focuses on basic self defence and ways of subduing suspects. They won't be sparring or anything like that. Do you think this guy could have beaten 6 marines? I don't think so, he'd be dead. Having lots of strength when your fighting unskilled guys who probably were not even hitting him, just trying to subdue him, is not dificult for an ex-Sumo.

Gouging out someones eyes is not violent bullying? My friend it actually is possible to bully another bully.

  • @murozman We could argue about this until the end of time, but I'll say this: I'm sure Goldberg would've gotten his ass kicked if he tried to fight six cops. As for Meng/Haku, the testimonies of several other wrestlers who know him far better than you or I do is enough for me.

  • @gaatakek I won't debate whether Meng was justified in ripping someone's eye out or whatever he did. Might have been, though I'm not sure what would justify going to that level. But for the guys living vicariously as tough guys through Meng, give it a rest. Meng seemed like a total professional who jobbed to whoever he was asked and even when he did something possibly unprofessional like jump ship to WWF, he was man enough to drop off his Hardcore belt with Barbarian to return it to WCW first

  • @peterp21 I think we're both saying the same thing.

  • @gaatakek

a lot of the wrestlers say tonga is a nice guy but he has a short temper and is very sensitive. but he is a loyal friend who will back you up when needed. ive read about it on a wrestling website. its a q and a with him

  • @murozman Just to give you some info on Goldberg's past, I believe he practised alot of MMA styled martial arts, ( he 's also doing a programme right now were he trains and spars with UFC fighters like Kimbo Cung Le ) to put it short, I do believe that to a certain degree Goldberg was trained in martial arts

  • @MrSFblack Meng and also the Barbarian were not to be fucked with. I met the Barbarian back in 92, he is cool as fuck and benches "625" he told me. I love Goldberg, and he is strong as fuck, but he has issuses when it comes to Meng or the Barbarian in a real fight. And the Warlord was a massive man. He use to be the Barbarian's partner. Arms like bowling balls. What happen to him??

  • @murozman Jericho beat Goldberg in a fight backstage....the two started to get into it and Jericho took him down and even put him in a triangle hold, they went back and forth for a little while and Booker T had to pull Jericho off of Goldberg....just saying....and Meng is a monster.....he was one of the most feared men in the locker room.....mostly because everyone thought he was crazy, but if you showed him respect he was fine, he was known for being a fighter....look up the stories about him.

  • @murozman I just replied to another comment of yours, and I realise you posted this comment seven months ago, but the boxer David Tua seems to be similar in size/appearance to Meng/Haku. He's a Pacific Islander as well.

  • Who's Pam ?

  • @Uzuchiha08 Pamela Icke

  • They were trying to convince us that Meng would actually kill someone? And Meng lecturing us about downsizing? Than finishing with "You must die" and was totally serious. Awful.

  • why was meng's career on the line in this match?

  • @owaisinus WCW had no cash

  • it's so weird hearing Meng doing an interview

  • Dude it seriouosly seems like there is like 500 fans there

  • @BWASRawk This Nitro in San Francisco and it only had 2,600 Fans there that night. The Cow Palace holds at least 11,000 but WCW's Attendance Numbers were already way down by the end.
