Someone asked "where" to see them....If you see Moose Crossing signs, come back to the area near sunset. Find an area along the road that is muddy and sit quietly. Unfortunately, many people may pull up and make all sorts of noise...but if you're lucky, you will see one first! Stay in your car - you may spook them otherwise and they are dangerous wild animals of massive size.
i was driving and there was no signs for moose coming on the road and then a moose just pops up on the road and im like "HOLY SHITTTTT!!!!!!!" i almost hit it! and then when i was driving up a hill (a little slower lol) another moose came! it was a good thing i was driving slow up the hill.....
had a young moose late at night in Benton NH run next to me while i was driving. i had on my high beams - i saw him come out -my lights scared him so instead of going across the road he decided to come half way & run next to me. pretty cool but we are lucky he went back into the woods & he did not crash into us !!!
I actually don't see a whole lot of moose. Maybe 3 a year. In winter they can often be seen along highways and roads because they like to lick the salt that's used for snow & ice. Most of the moose I've seen are adolescents. I think they feel a little lonely & lost after their moms give birth to new calves, and kick the older ones to the curb. Also, they love the marshes around here. Find the marshes, find the moose. :-)

As opposed, I imagine, to a domesticated moose. ;-)

Yeah the domesticated moose in NH would never cross the road without looking both ways. :o)
