@MrGoranjo Yes, it can take a while to boot from DVD. Can take even 15 minutes on my machine. After install, boot is VERY fast. On my old machine (this one in this video) doesn't take more than 11 spins to boot.

You didn't see me picking up a wireless network because I don't have a wireless card on my desktop computer. I use Ethernet only under Lion and a Sitecom external Wi-Fi USB card under SL from time to time. I like my desktop computer to be WIRED. Call me old fashioned. :)

@bigbigcarslivecom Should be empty. Is you are a newbie is better to save all data and allocate all HDD o the install. Then, once you get more experimented, you can dual/triple boot. Read the guide.

Because i boot my iATKOS l2 DVD with a boot loader

called chamira or what ever

and it always told me the install go's wrong you should re install

and reboot ,,

and if i tray without a boot loader iATKOS l2 lion appears told me to click

and i click and every thing SOPS

I've tried enabling AHCI or whatever in my bios. I've tried installing it with the AHCI bios you choose in the video and without it. I've tried everything :(.

i did everything right it said install succeeded so i rester my laptop.

@ario242 hi , i had this same proplem its a ball ache but i found a way , after you have do the instalation and u restart , when iaktos screen apears press f8 for advanced . (make shure the disk is is still in) move arrow key to your hardrive and then type -v arch-=i386 acpi=0x2000 PCIRoot=Yes DSDT=No ( type exactly like this whith all the spaces and caps and it will work tell me how u got on )

thanks for the videos, downloading iatkos l2 now, just tried niresh and it was the ugliest thing, i cant stand people who customize installs, especially with their own personal pics :). For iatkos, with niresh i kept getting install failed message, do I need to have a flash drive along with the dvd for installing lion from scratch? thanks

@abuabdillah333 Yes, Niresh is ugly. The DVD too:P but I give him credit for being the first one, as far as I know, that hacked Lion.

iAtkos L2 works great. Is my favorite distro ever. I am deeply and unconditionally in love with the project.

You don't need a flash drive. DVD is just enough.

What you do need is to read carefully the "readme" if you will get stuck at some point and not know what to do,

@Golfnoob69 Most intel processors work, as long as they support Hardwarwe Virtualization and 64-bit computing. Yes, you have the right processor. I recommend installing this into a virtualbox first, then if you feel you should, boot into it from your machine. google is your friend.

What I suggest you is to search Google instead of advising people how to install or making comments about how "stock" you are... FYI, iATKOS is fully stock. Allow me to have reasonable doubts about how "stock" is what you run.

-Is AHCI not ACHI (I wanted to make sure you really don't know what you're speaking about and verified it four times).

-I am not interested in your experiences with OSX.

I got iatkos l2 to install but when it boots off my laptops hard drive it won't load fully. It halts when the apple and the pinwheel appear after 1 minute or so. If anyone has any fixes lemme know
