I think its a woman's personal choice to get implants, or "fake" boobs. There are several reasons why woman get them. I think that if someone wants to do something to better them self, then why not? I'm due for a BA in a week.
So which one would be better? I would think that the saline would be better because you would notice them reducing in size and therefore know that there was a break in the implant. Where as with the modern silicone you would never know if there was a break and they still looked like the silicone inside was sticky, as some stuck to the plate, and may still cause scar tissue and probably not be good for you.

Saline implants still have a silicone shell, so either way you end up with some sort of silicone inside of you. If you do you research and go a Board certified sugeon, communicate and have realistic results you should be happy. Of course as with everything, problems can accur. Ladies - please look up capsular contracture and do a LOT of research so that you know the risks & what can go wrong before you have breast augmentation. I'm not saying don't do it, just know as much as you can about ALL of the risks 7 look at pictures of what can go wrong before you decide to do it x

@redman7771red17 the purpose of implants are the same as any other cosmetic product; (such as make-up) to enhance features. now, there are good candidates for implants and bad candidates. it's not something you should just go do on a whim; all options should be considered before hand.

Overall a good video except that the cuts made to the old style and to the modern style silicone implants were made totally different. I would have liked to see a small cut and then pulling both halves apart to see what happens.
You mention that you believe the new cohesive silicon-base implant to be safe, but I would like to hear about statistics of ruptures per thousand implants, and known problems and consequences when ruptured and not removed in the short, mid and long terms.

@princess4389 breast implants are measured by ccs.. .NOT by bra size. When you go for a consultation, the doctor will have you wear a very unfashionable bra in which you can place different implants. You can decide which is the appropriate size for you then.

If a Saline implant breaks you'll be able to tell because your boob will deflate like a balloon lol. And if the implants breaks its not that dangerous since Saline is only salt water. So which one would be better? I would think that the saline would be better because you would notice them reducing in size and therefore know that there was a break in the implant. Where as with the modern silicone you would never know if there was a break and they still looked like the silicone inside was sticky, as some stuck to the plate, and may still cause scar tissue and probably not be good for you.

Silicone feel natural, saline do not, best to put under the muscle if you are going to get saline as you will see the difference and they feel harder. Also after surgery the size will decrease much more.

i recently got silicone implants with this surgeon, dr romanelli. he is great and i highly recommend him if you are in the NY area (hes on long island). also, i would recommend silicone to anyone thinking about getting implants. they do not look fake and they are very soft and natural looking. i love my fake boobs :)!!!

These are still SILICONE! I have saline implants and the dr. never told me all the problems that could happen with them! They are responsible for MANY women getting very sick, including me. They cause autoimmune disease and they eventually DO wear out and u haveto have another 5000.00 surgery to have them taken out n new ones in or if they r causing problems they are taken out and all you have left are REALLY SAGGY BREASTS! ITS JUST NOT WORTH IT!!

It's statistically proven they do not cause autoimmune disease, they do wear out but getting them replaced is ALWAYS far far far cheaper than a fresh surgery. If a silicone pad bursts or rips it gets absorbed by your body and disposed of by natural means.

Saline implants still have a silicone shell, so either way you end up with some sort of silicone inside of you. If you do you research and go a Board certified sugeon, communicate and have realistic results you should be happy. Of course as with everything, problems can accur. Please remember this is an elective surgery. Do you research, I can not stress this enough.

That's an interesting question, but I'll admit I've never heard of having to go through several stages of breast augmenation. In my experience, a reputable surgeon will recommend a single procedure with your desired implant size, but the best source of information is talking with a plastic surgeon directly.
