I was in attendance for this match with the rest of my HS Wrestling team at the time, and I remember thinking to myself that it was probably one of the prettiest-looking lateral drops I'd ever seen in person. The video doesn't do it justice. It was electric being there to see it in person.

Greg was on another level back then. I'll always wonder what could have been had he won his Sophomore year. Certainly, though, he's, at the least, one of the better college wrestlers this decade.

why? is picking with the underhooked arm a definite no no in wrestling? i mean the other guy could easily stop the pick but will picking with the underhooked arm usually get you thrown?

it will get you thrown if your facing a good opponent who is smart enough to take advantage of it...when you try to pick the leg with your opposite arm overhooked, he can use your momentum towards him to toss you...you may get away with it against a C- competitor, but its a big no-no in college wrestling.

That's not a hip toss. It's a lateral drop from the over and under hook. A hip toss is a throw from a bear hug. But then again I'm not too sure how to do a Greco throw
