I think that Valve are the best people to work with out there. Look how many people play on steam and play their games.
I expect that Cs:s has more gamers playing everyday than COD. Plus I came to thinking that Valve's Steam isen't the best with connection but has millions of games. I guarrantee that steam is better than COD.

if you want to show real gameplay of dod, at least keep the sound on. i dont hear any rock songs when i'm playing it. it takes away 50% of the actual dod feel when you cut the sound and the german shouting and the tommygun shooting etc etc.
Day of Defeat : Source Beta is availible on Steam (if you own the normal DoD:S), it includes updates that came with Team Fortress 2. Like revenge, avatars at the score bord etc. Have some fun ;)!

Yah you really should try it. I cant believe they gave that great game away for free when you buy css. And if any one buys css from steam, DONT. You can get css AND day of defeat:source from walmart for the same price of 20$. You can get the same deal from steam but that costs 30$! That was just a little word of advise :)

I would have to say DOD:S changes up the balance for me, and differences are slightly exaggerated. In DOD K98 and Garand are about the some, but the Garand is a wee bit better, and in Source to me this is more apparent. The Thompson and MP40 really feel particularly nerfed, as the COF feels terrible. I may be wrong. Snipers are more realistic in the sense of reloading, Garand is faster firing, maps are slightly upgraded, and the go to prone is alot slower. However an all around good game.
I think it is, but there are many players who say it's not... The community of the original Day of Defeat, was better and bigger. DoD:S was not a HUGE succes cause there are not much new maps, gamemodes, etc. But give it a try, its a super game, if you compare it with the orginial DoD, or not ;)!
