How the heck can every single level of football have a playoff, yet Division 1, or FBS doesn't have it? Example of how money ruins everything and how crooked people are. You don't see the NFL picking the Superbowl games. You don't see states picking teams for their high school championship teams. DEATH TO THE BCS.
How could you have a bunch of undefeated teams but only two can go to the title game? That's just plain dumb. The BCS has been a fraud from the beginning bc of the good old boy network.
The big schools don't want to be embarrassed by the smaller ones. How sad is it that a school big or not can go undefeated their whole season but end up with nothing to show for it in the end.
Nice thoughts, UtesFiesta09. While I do agree with your idea I believe that if any team is gonna split the championship with the UF/OU winner it's going to be USC simply because the media loves them. I am not for this decision but I just simply think it's going to happen given that A) the voters don't care about Utah and B) Texas edged OSU tonight in the Fiesta Bowl. So, why have a BCS title game if you're going to split hairs about the champion? It just adds fuel to the fire for a play-off.
The AP needs to do the right thing and vote Utah #1. The BCS championship feels cheap. Utah deserves to be #1. Oklahoma or Florida may deserve a share of the title but Utah should atleast have the other half. If the AP does not give the championship to Utah then the AP voters are just as biased, bigoted and corrupted as the BCS.
as well as utah did this year, you have to admit that UF was a wrecking ball of a team, destroying just about anything in it's path... i don't understand why they won't do a playoff type scenario with the top 10-15 teams or so
USC still has ND, Oregon, and CAL (all ranked) then UCLA. My thought is that if OSU and MI play a close one (likely) and a few of the other teams do not blow out some of the weaker teams they have left then OSU and MI will float to the BCS 1 and 2. Texas really needs to blow out Texas A&M, anything less then 21 point diff will be to weak, plus their lose to OSU was not pretty - give Colt another year.
I do agree that college football should have playoff's.
All you guys rooting for texas are just posers who jumped on the texas bandwagon after they won the national championship. And, Colt Mckoy looks like he's 12
Rematch, get the F' outta here... Tim Couch, is speaking on winning for what reason. I know the SEC is a hell of a conference, but to superseed a 1 loss team over an undefeated Big East team is baffling. The Big East has 2 teams in the top 5 and a team that's ranked 15th or something, so how is that a weak conference? I'm not saying it's the best, but come on, it's not the like louisville or west virginia is Boise State!!!
Let me sum it up to you, the bcs is trash, texas has only one loss being to the #1 team in the country, auburn lost to arkansas! ha seriously that should do it for them, florida lost to auburn and barley beat overrated tennessee, and you say the defending champs don't deserve a shot.

Texas should not make the cut. Their strength of schedule is a joke, apart from OSU, and they should have lost to Nebraska, who just got blown out last week.
so whatever happen to Texas there cleary the best team in the big 12 conference north and south.but in this whole video they dont even look at Texas. They went from #3 to #2 then all the way back to #12 but now there back at #4 that proves something about the Longhorns.and why talk about Auburn they lost to some non-ranked team and their still highly ranked Texas lost to the number 1 team in Ohio State but are still over looked.Point is the whole BCS system is dumb.
It's no controversy. When Michigan loses to OSU, they loss their right to play OSU for the title. They already lost, so OSU has outplayed them. No one wants to see a repeat title game anyhow, and OSU already beat them. If WV (or other Big East teams) also have 1 loss than maybe. But WV beat Georgia last season, so even though the Big East sucks, WV already proved they are pretty good.
i agree.... when they lose once, they dont desirve a rematch... we should play a big east team thathasnt lost or we can play florida and beat them to...
The only legit teams that would challenge OSU in a national championship game are Texas or WVU. You have to almost rule out UT's loss to Ohio St. because they had Colt McCoy starting in only his second game of the season...since that game he has matured drastically with 21 td's and only 1 interception...hes been the 2nd best passer in the NCAA...to have them not in the top 4 is ludicrous...oh ya they still have the number 1 Defense.
Every year Texas is inexplicably underrated. In the 2005 Rose Bowl, everyone said Texas didnt belong there and would be blown out.. and they played a hell of a game and won. Same with USC last year.. nobody gives Texas credit until they win.. than everyone is talking about what a football powerhouse they are... until they forget the next season.
Texas IS overlooked; if they win out, they are in better shape than any team like Michigan that didn't win its conference. You need to at least win your conference if you want to be considered for the National Championship. We had that scenario before in Nebraska versus Miami in 2001. We don't need a repeat of a conference loser getting to play for the title. Unless you have a playoff system, which I would better prefer.
get a effin play off system gosh dam it aint that hard...greedy bastards need to stop worring about ther money...and get a play off system college football is the only big sport left behind...hell even the lower division have a playof system..comn now...determined by strength of schedule gay...PLAY OFF...determine the real champion!
So why is it that in this whole conversation, there was no talk about UT. They lost to the #1 ranked team in only the second week...also how did Louisville jump Texas in the BCS. If a team from the Big east goes to the championship game it is goin to be the biggest blow out in the history of football.
BCS is a joke, they put USC ranked so high over hype, but USC actually sucks. their QB sucks. They need to do away with this ranking system and put a real system into place like a playoff system. I just dont think you can determine a success or how tough a team is based on strength of schedule. Like how Auburn was screwed 2 yrs ago. I dont like them, but it should of been USC vs Auburn, not OU vs USC.
Auburn didn't get screwed, as you put it, two years ago; Auburn screwed Auburn with putting a 1-10 Citadel on their schedule. Remember that at the time strength of schedule was a factor in the computer rankings, so they shot themselves in the foot with the....drumroll please: 30th ranked schedule in the nation. But I do agree that the game that year shouldn't have been OU/USC, especially with OU losing the Big 12 Championship game to K-State that year.
so who did texas lose to again? ohio state... the number one team in the country... who did USC lose to? oregon state... not ranked
explain to me how USC would get into the national championship before texas.... people dont seem to realize that texas' only loss comes from ohio state
Let's be serious - Michigan has won only one game this year against the Irish - good luck this week against the Ball St. fighting - uh - um the Ball St. fighting Insurance Salesmen???? - Big Ten = Big Joke!
I love these so called experts saying the Big East should be ignored. Are these the same geniuses that said teams like George Mason last year didn't belong in the NCAA basketball tournament? And didn't WV stuff Georgia last year? Someone should stick a pin in these blowhards.
USC Isn't even top 5 anymore, why would ND deserve a title shot if they beat SC. Loiusville, Rutgers and W. Virginia all play each other and are the only other three undefeated teams left. If one of them can manage to beat the other two while they all hve perfect records, chances are that team is going to the championship. My bet is Ohio vs W. Virginia
a playoff situtation would totally and completely play down the regular season. one or two losses wouldn't count you out of the national championship. with the BCS you CANNOT lose a game, and every regular season game is important.
Brian Curtis' first argument does not hold water, because Cal, Florida, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and USC all have stronger schedules than Michigan. Therefore, when/if Michigan loses, they do not deserve a rematch.
WVU is overrated. Everyone talks about how they beat Georgia last year and they forget the beatdown Virginia Tech gave them that SAME YEAR in Morgantown. Reutgers is going undefeated in the Big East. Shows you how great that conference is.
lol notre dame derserves some credit even tho they got thrashed by michigan at home and hadnt played anyone good this whole year if notre dame beats USC by alot notre dame should have a slim shot in geting in the NC game and i dont want those dumbasss talking about any big east team getin in thats not goin happen taking a undefeated big east team before notre dame
These guys are fool of it! If WVU is undefeated at the end of the season they should be in the National Title Game against the Buckeyes or Wolverines.
I find it interesting that Tim Couch played at Kentucky (which coincidentally is an SEC school) and proceeds to denounce Louisville (UK's natural rival). It's obvious he's biased, and until there is a playoff, nothing can ever be set in stone in an effective manner. cmbsfinest, my condolences to the UofA. It was sad being an LDS missionary in Tucson in the fall with everyone dejected about their Wildcats. Bear Down Arizona. Win the PAC-10 in football next season!!!
Experts said WVU coudn't hang with Georgia last year either. How many did we put up in the first quarter again? It's a young team. If we don't get our shot this year, we'll be back next year.
It would be hard to have a playoff system be put into place. What would it be a 8 team playoff? that's an added 2 or 3 weeks onto the schedules. For anyone that's been to a D1 school, a bowl game not matter which one it is, is like a championship game for that school. We never got to play in any at U of Arizona while I was there because our school is only good at baseball and basketball, but if we got to a bowl game it would be have been great, even if it was the Wal-Mart bowl.
I agree, football needs a playoff system. Why can't we have January Madness like we have in March? I'm from the Buckeye State and Ohio State is overrated. We play a couple good teams, one of which is Michigan and all the other teams are teams like OU or Indiana. If we are to be # 1 then lets play teams that are as good as we are, not the equivalent of a high school team!
What about Texas? Their only loss was also to the consensus #1 team while they were breaking in a freshman quarterback that was playing his first real game. Texas' offensive coordinator was being extremely conservative with this playcalling. Now McCoy has greatly matured. Ah well, maybe next year.
its a win-win situation for WVU. if they don't go (which i hope) it'll set the stage for a good NC game. if they DO go, ohio state or whoever, will expose how overrated they are. right now they haven't proven they DESERVE no.3 in the country, they've only moved up by default because of losses by other teams. and their remaining schedule will not help that cause even if they go undefeated. rutgers a "quality ranked" opponent? please i think that was disproved last night...
If Ohio State beats Michigan, somehow Notre Dame will wind up #2. Sounds crazy, right? I've seen stranger things happen in the rankings of Notre Dame.
i like this twat that just ignores couch when he's right. If osu or michigan were in the sec they'd have a loss and if wva/louisville were in the sec they'd have 2/3 losses. College football needs a playoff, or else the southern conferences SEC and ACC will just continue to beat themselves up and stay out of the title hunt.
Big surprise that Tim Couch, the worst number one pick in the history of the NFL draft, takes a cheap shot at Louisville. Think of all of the horrible second and third string quarterbacks in the NFL; now imagine how godawful Tim Couch must be to be sitting there judging a team led by a quarterback (Brian Brohm) who actually has a future.
Boise State dominated Oregon State. Oregon State beat USC. Im not saying BSU should be higher. But if it was any other team than USC, they would be way lower than 10th
WVU cannot be stopped, did any one see the game against Georgia last year and this is the same team. WVU can beat any team. Stop beating up on Big East, I believe they are the only conference with 3 undefeated teams. Oh and by the way the replacement Louisville Crushed the traitor of the Big East Miami. Go Big East.
Haha, you saying that West Virginia is a contender is so blatanly stupid. NONE of their wins this year so far have been over ranked teams (or teams within sniffing distance). Watch WVU inexplicably go 1-4 to close out the season.
What about Texas- the only loss for them this season is to the #1 ranked Ohio State- and that was game 2 of the year with a freshman redshirt QB. Whoever loses in the Ohio State/Michigan game should not be in the national title game because they blew their shot. I think whoever wins the Southeastern confrence or Texas should and will be in the title game.
The national championship will be decided on November 18th when the two best teams from the best conference in the nation play the game of the 21st Century. The BCS Championship Game will be an afterthought.
...what happens if both teams are undefeated? The answer is simple my friends, the steams get crossed, total nuetronic reversal. ie...we're all doomed.
What is up with the Pac 10 and Big 10 bias? Its ridiculous. I agree that the Big East isn't great, but its not miserable. If whoever loses the Big 10 championship game gets a rematch . . . wait, THE PANSIES WON'T PLAY ONE!! They will play one less game than the other teams (like USC in 2003) yet get the media pass because "it's what America want. They are legendary programs. Blah, Blah, Blah . . . " Michigan gets to play Ohio State and that's it. Win the game or move over.
No one is talking about Tenn. They lost by one point to florida if they run the table and florida losses I don't see why they couldn't be right in there
Big East is a creampuff conference. SEC teams are more deserving of a shot since the SEC is such a tough conference. Big East is undefeated because they DIDN'T PLAY ANYBODY OF NOTE. WVU wins? LOL!!!!
The UM-OSU game is going to be the best game of the year. After Michigan beats the Luckeyes, OSUck will still be better than anyteam in the Big East. It's just too bad the rest of the Big 10 have been so deflated.
The national championship should be determined on the field not on a piece of paper.
There's no reason they can't have an 8 team playoff.
Give me a break WVU fan, they have played nobody. Their only opponent with a winning record (Maryland) has lost both games against ranked opponents.
OSU has played #2 on road (who's since beat two top 20 teams on the road), #13 on the road and #25 at home. They have not scored LESS the 24 points, and have not given up more the 17.
U DONT KNOW THAT. whos knows if auburn vs OSU will be a good match. but the big east has the bcs contract. if we have the number 2 team in the nation undefeated they should play the number 1 team undefeated in the nation. its not hard to figure out, just no one like WV at all
I think if the NCAA is going to stick to the BCS as their system for determining a champion, THEY HAVE TO STICK TO IT. The bottom line is the teams with best record need to play each other and then if there is a tie you start looking at strength of schedule. Picking a 1 loss team over an undefeated team is absurd and is a slap in the face to the whole system. Why work hard to have a perfect season if politics and the powers that be are going to keep you out of the big game anyway?
College football is a great sport, but its 'championship' is stupid. That these guys even have this discussion shows how ridiculous the system is. We should start boycotting Bowl games, in every way, until they come up with a genuine playoff system (with eight or more teams). Until then, it's a big joke, and we're suckers to care about it.
Why do all the talking heads keep claiming the SEC is without a doubt the best conference? While it is true they have some very good teams, i.e. Florida and Tennessee (and perhaps Auburn, LSU and Arkansas) the rest of the conference is mediocre to poor. Mississippi, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky? Boring. How would anyone really know if SEC schools are tough? Look at those home-loaded cream puff non-conference schedules.
if WVU does lose against UL then auburn should be in the national championship. and there is no reason they should put ohio and michigan in the national championship for a rematch. i guarentee u the WVU-UL game will be more exciting than then OSU Michigan game. but if WVU or UL lose, u think there is gonna be a rematch in a bcs bowl with those two? no it will be "try again next year" not a rematch, especially for the national championship.
Yeah...Im sure WV would get blown out by the University of Ohio...oops....I mean Ohio State. I remember everyone saying thet Texas would get blown out by USC....How did that end?
OSU will beat Michigan unmercifully. WVU, Louisville and Rutgers will play each other. Each will lose one game. You have to let an SEC team have a chance. The BIG 12, PAC, ACC are having a down year. The SEC champ should get the shot if that team has one loss.
Look, if WVU or UL is undefeated at the end of the season, they deserve the chance to be slaughtered by THE Ohio State University in the Rose Bowl. I find it amusing all the Big East fans arguing over which team will be embarrassed by OSU on national television. The OSU-UM game might be a good one. However, when Ohio State wins, and if WVU or UL is unfortunate enough to have gone undefeated, plan on the least entertaining national championship game in the history of the BCS.
In 22 combined games, WV, LouV & Rutgers have played one ranked team (5-3 Miami). IF WV or LouV were in the SEC, they'd have two losses. Only teams who should play Ohio St, who'll beat Michigan, are the SEC champ or Texas.
Are you serious that Ohio State is not a seriosu #1 team when they have already played in one #1 vs. #2 game and will more than likely play in another. Not to mention that they have beaten teams silly, with Texas (you know the #2 team?) being the closest game at 17 points. They have played 5 teams that have been ranked this year. Seriously? Ohio State will beat Michigan by at least 2 touchdowns, though it will eb a close game until the last 10 miuntes.
the only reason Ohio beat Texas by that much pts was because it was Colt MCcoys SECOND career game. he had no experience then. other then that, Ohio state had the easiest schedual from the top 5 ranked teams. Ohio State is overrated, they had better team last year then this year. They lost the best of the their defence and some good WRs in the draft.
lol it would be great if rutgers won the national title that would be hilarious but cool i dotn care anymore cuz my favorite team colorado is having a well .. um bad season but they won 2 games :D
guess it didnt post my first comment... but i said. give WVu and Louisville some credit. if i remember correctly Louisville beat the crap out of miami. and they say the SEC is the best conference, well i agree, but didnt we beat the SEC champs last year in the sugar bowl??? o ya we did. plus the big east still has the BCS bowl. but since its West Virginia, some other team will be playing not us, or louisville.
WAIT! Just b/c one team beats another from a conf. doesn't imply superiority. LSU murdered UM in Peach Bowl. SEC still best conference. Big East still a joke, Big Ten #2, and ACC falling fast.... OSU SURELY #1 right now. GoGators!
Those who dont follow the Big Ten always say that. Like Penn State has seen, its a lot easier to take shots at the Big Ten, but playing in the conference and winning it is another story. Iowa, Wisconsin and Penn State would all give Louisville, WVA and Rutgers a hard game and likely would beat them.
My question is how is the big 10 have better strength of schedule than the big east when Michigan and ohio state are the only good team in the big ten as the big east teams are all at least 4-2
Counting the last two games of last season, OSU has beaten Michigan, Notre Dame, Iowa, Texas, and Penn State, all of which were ranked in the top 25. At one point these were the last 5 out of 7 games they played and only one of them was a HOME game. Do you actually think WVA or any team in the Big East could have run this gauntlet. Not a chance.
What BS... why should Louisville and West Virginia have to suffer because a bunch of so-called "experts" wrote off the Big East after Miami, VT and BC left which caused teams from the "power" conferences to not want to play them? If they think the Big East is so damn inferior, let that be proven in the Fiesta Bowl.
OHIO STATE is no doubt the best college team this season. Michigan is good but they will lose a close game @ OSU. West Virginia will get murdered in the Championship "if they make it"
too early to tell just yet. one game is all it takes for either team since they are usually always matched up in each unit. however, i feel the winner of that game will ultimately win the national championship by a big margin. therefore, this game on november 18th is the national championship...
I'm not a Big East fan,but if a Big East team goes undefeated they should get a shot. Michigan and Ohio State get their shot at the championship in Nov. and if they lose, then they lose their chance. A rematch would be unfair to the winner because of a revenge factor. What would happen if OSU won in Nov. but Michigan wins in Jan? There would be another BCS controversy. If there are 2 undefeated teams and they are both from BCS conferences, a one loss team can't sneak into the title game
Think of all other sports... It just so happens that they're both sweet this year and they alway play each other at the end of november every year. The controversy should begin once one of them is booted to the Rose Bowl. If one wins one game and the other wins the other, so be it, that's sports. Any give Sunday, err Saturday. Critics can scream controversy, but that's how sports work. I'd love to see a rematch on Jan 8.
I agree BCS sucks 8 team playoff is the only true answer. By the way, Michigan would rock Louisville's world. Those unbeaten Big East teams have easy schedules in the easiest BSC confernce: Big Ten, SEC, Big 12, ACC, PAC-10 and the Big East.

Uh edwashy apparently didnt watch ohio state destroy texas at the beginning of the year
ADFaN28 5 years ago
Every year Texas is inexplicably underrated. In the 2005 Rose Bowl, everyone said Texas didnt belong there and would be blown out.. and they played a hell of a game and won. Same with USC last year.. nobody gives Texas credit until they win.. than everyone is talking about what a football powerhouse they are... until they forget the next season.

TheBigBHang 5 years ago
Texas IS overlooked; if they win out, they are in better shape than any team like Michigan that didn't win its conference. You need to at least win your conference if you want to be considered for the National Championship. We had that scenario before in Nebraska versus Miami in 2001. We don't need a repeat of a conference loser getting to play for the title. Unless you have a playoff system, which I would better prefer.

So why is it that in this whole conversation, there was no talk about UT. They lost to the #1 ranked team in only the second week...also how did Louisville jump Texas in the BCS. If a team from the Big east goes to the championship game it is goin to be the biggest blow out in the history of football.
Kjizzle03 5 years ago
BCS is a joke, they put USC ranked so high over hype, but USC actually sucks. their QB sucks. They need to do away with this ranking system and put a real system into place like a playoff system. I just dont think you can determine a success or how tough a team is based on strength of schedule. Like how Auburn was screwed 2 yrs ago. I dont like them, but it should of been USC vs Auburn, not OU vs USC.
wwepatriot 5 years ago
Auburn didn't get screwed, as you put it, two years ago; Auburn screwed Auburn with putting a 1-10 Citadel on their schedule. Remember that at the time strength of schedule was a factor in the computer rankings, so they shot themselves in the foot with the....drumroll please: 30th ranked schedule in the nation. But I do agree that the game that year shouldn't have been OU/USC, especially with OU losing the Big 12 Championship game to K-State that year.

Virginia

Brian Curtis' first argument does not hold water, because Cal, Florida, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and USC all have stronger schedules than Michigan. Therefore, when/if Michigan loses, they do not deserve a rematch.

If we are to be # 1 then lets play teams that are as good as we are, not the equivalent of a high school team!
jackie287 5 years ago

WVU would not stand a chance against OSU.

Suba22 5 years ago
I think if the NCAA is going to stick to the BCS as their system for determining a champion, THEY HAVE TO STICK TO IT. The bottom line is the teams with best record need to play each other and then if there is a tie you start looking at strength of schedule. Picking a 1 loss team over an undefeated team is absurd and is a slap in the face to the whole system. Why work hard to have a perfect season if politics and the powers that be are going to keep you out of the big game anyway?
zerokoolkw 5 years ago
College football is a great sport, but its 'championship' is stupid. That these guys even have this discussion shows how ridiculous the system is. We should start boycotting Bowl games, in every way, until they come up with a genuine playoff system (with eight or more teams). Until then, it's a big joke, and we're suckers to care about it.
rarmai 5 years ago
Why do all the talking heads keep claiming the SEC is without a doubt the best conference? While it is true they have some very good teams, i.e. Florida and Tennessee (and perhaps Auburn, LSU and Arkansas) the rest of the conference is mediocre to poor. Mississippi, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky? Boring. How would anyone really know if SEC schools are tough? Look at those home-loaded cream puff non-conference schedules.
raylink1 5 years ago
if WVU does lose against UL then auburn should be in the national championship. and there is no reason they should put ohio and michigan in the national championship for a rematch. i guarentee u the WVU-UL game will be more exciting than then OSU Michigan game. but if WVU or UL lose, u think there is gonna be a rematch in a bcs bowl with those two? no it will be "try again next year" not a rematch, especially for the national championship.

OSU will beat Michigan unmercifully. WVU, Louisville and Rutgers will play each other. Each will lose one game. You have to let an SEC team have a chance. The BIG 12, PAC, ACC are having a down year. The SEC champ should get the shot if that team has one loss.

If Michigan loses badly to Ohio State, why not put Florida or Auburn in the running?
wesley1021 5 years ago

Only teams who should play Ohio St, who'll beat Michigan, are the SEC champ or Texas.
toag1 5 years ago
Are you serious that Ohio State is not a seriosu #1 team when they have already played in one #1 vs. #2 game and will more than likely play in another. Not to mention that they have beaten teams silly, with Texas (you know the #2 team?) being the closest game at 17 points. They have played 5 teams that have been ranked this year. Seriously? Ohio State will beat Michigan by at least 2 touchdowns, though it will eb a close game until the last 10 miuntes.
smartestsponge 5 years ago
the only reason Ohio beat Texas by that much pts was because it was Colt MCcoys SECOND career game. he had no experience then. other then that, Ohio state had the easiest schedual from the top 5 ranked teams. Those who dont follow the Big Ten always say that. Like Penn State has seen, its a lot easier to take shots at the Big Ten, but playing in the conference and winning it is another story. Iowa, Wisconsin and Penn State would all give Louisville, WVA and Rutgers a hard game and likely would beat them.
puttsaround2 5 years ago
My question is how is the big 10 have better strength of schedule than the big east when Michigan and ohio state are the only good team in the big ten as the big east teams are all at least 4-2
bigboss7723 5 years ago
Because WV and L haven't and will not play 2 games against an opponent that is ranked #2 or higher. OSU, Mich, Texas, ND.
Galikanokus19 5 years ago
OSU doesn't have a justified #1 rank. Look at their schedule, the easiest of almost all ranked teams.

Counting the last two games of last season, OSU has beaten Michigan, Notre Dame, Iowa, Texas, and Penn State, all of which were ranked in the top 25. no doubt about it - we need a playoffs in college football. take the top 16 teams based on the BCS rank and line them up.
H00t0w1 5 years ago
I'm not a Big East fan,but if a Big East team goes undefeated they should get a shot. Michigan and Ohio State get their shot at the championship in Nov. and if they lose, then they lose their chance. A rematch would be unfair to the winner because of a revenge factor. What would happen if OSU won in Nov. but Michigan wins in Jan? There would be another BCS controversy. If there are 2 undefeated teams and they are both from BCS conferences, a one loss team can't sneak into the title game
BrentED 5 years ago
Think of all other sports... It just so happens that they're both sweet this year and they alway play each other at the end of november every year. The controversy should begin once one of them is booted to the Rose Bowl. If one wins one game and the other wins the other, so be it, that's sports. Any give Sunday, err Saturday. Critics can scream controversy, but that's how sports work. I'd love to see a rematch on Jan 8.
