Went to a Christian concert today. I'm never going to one again, The singer asked the audience to come up to the stage and give our souls to Jesus for saving. I didn't go up there. @nihilistmia i dont think you understand separation of church and state really. the Founders meant this as the Government wont Endorse any religion and people are free to practice and beleive what ever they want. The Founders were mostly Christians as well and alot of our laws are based of judeo-christian laws. if somebody is a christian its obviously gonna affect how they vote and think, but as long as nobody forces you to do anything and the government stays out of religion its all good.

So it is impossible to be a christian deist because christianity rest on the belief that god knocked up a human being and had his son interact in this universe. Therefore christian deist do not exist. The founders of the U.S were smart enough to not believe any of the shit written down by 2000 year old goat herders in a book called the bible.

Christian Deism exists and this page offers a great summary of it. Go read some Founding Fathers autobiography's and quotes. they reference god alot and they were Christians that believed in god. They did not believe on attacking or enforcing their beliefs on others( something im sure your a fan of)
You cant rewrite history when we have alot of evidence these people were a mix of Christians/Deists/agnostics and maybe atheists.

Just because there is a Wikipedia page that exist doesn't mean that christian deism exists anyone can say whatever the fuck they want to say on the internet. Hence I maintain christian deism is fundamentally impossible because deist believe does not allow a jesus figure to enter the universe. In contemporary times the founding fathers would be just as atheist if not more than myself.

Whoever founded the philosophy combined the two together, and if you read books about it you can tell this is What alot of the Founding Fathers believed. Alot of them were undeniably Christians(Quakers, puritans people like that) And some of them acutely might of been agnostic or even Atheists(Thomas Paine) But alot were Christian Deists and you should go check out that Wikipedia page on it.
