I have a 2008 CTS and I love it. It is stock right now but it is fast and rides awesome. How can you beat that.. Yours sounds great. Flowmasters next. I put them on my 1969 Cougar with a 351W and it sounds incredible.

it sucks these dont hold value very well ,but i suppose great for used buyers :-) ! i dont think there is anything out there that has such a good value and fun factor . please ,no one mention a m3-m5-rs4-isf-twin turbo b5 with 100000hp lambo amg . im talking about a 15-33k price range ,this is a hard machine to beat for us poor working chumps . how was the car as far as reliability-fun factor ?

@jonridge Sure he did. A 420 plus hp 5.0 ( that's also lighter) gets beaten by a heavier 400 hp Cts-v. The new GT has a far faster 0-60 and quarter mile time than that cts. That is a fact. Unless you were SOMEHOW able to gain that much from just exhaust, I call bullshit. Btw, it doesn't sound like that 50 grand cts has the best resale value either.

This car dynoed 402rwhp to the wheels with the setup it had in this video. New 5.0s dyno 365??. And I forgot to mention that it does have a small cam in it now also (check my other videos). You shouldn't live your life only believing what you read in a magazine.

@jonridge I know what these things run. Yes, magazines for the most part are half assed anyway. But the fact is, a STOCK CTS-V doesn't do what you were claiming it did. Sure, once you start modifying it, you start to get some real power from it. You can modify anything. Big deal. It just depends on far you want to go. These things will run from the factory, but you were claiming it did more than it actually does. Two modified cars is more of a money race than an actual race.

I could chirp third in 90 tercel but it had tiny tires and one wheel peel, huge traction difference there. It's like comparing a golf ball to a soft ball you're not going to move one as far with the same power.

Thats true, but big power difference. A car with this amount of power should be able to chirp 3rd no problem anyways. Just didn't see why everyone is drooling over the 3rd gear chirp. Used to have a modded '88 Rx-7 10th Anniversary, running 265/40/17's could spin tires through 2nd into third if I wanted to. I'm not bashing this car in anyway, I like it!

Just my 2 cents. He starts out in second, not low so he is chirping third and forth. Also the shift from 3 to 4 would be at about 90-100 mph, with posi and huge skins on back and he may have traction control on so they would only chirp before it took over.

And the 2-3 shift is around 70mph in this car
