Not surprising, really, since many Indian tribes sided w/the Brits during the War of 1812(see: Tecumseh), and Francis Scott Key did pen the poem, which is now our National Anthem, based on that war. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to exiling her to either Canada or Mexico for her treachery -- along with Harry himself, of course. ;-)

In 1 of its more impt decisions, the USSC held that "a nation can exist within a nation". This has complicated matters, but the court likely did so in part because they felt bad about us stealing Indian land.

Thus we have the Cherokee Nation & others w/ their own songs & languages. Depending on treaties, some have their own laws, but are still subj. to US law.

There are about 500,000 indians in NV so nothing improper was done

1. The EMCEE screwed up the intro, not Chris (the singer)

2. Chris tried to let the audience know it was not the Star Spangled Banner before launching into her speech. If you listen closely you can hear her say so.

3. She was presented with a CHOICE of two songs to sing; The National Anthem, or the Native AMerican Anthem (which honors America and more specifically the Flag raising on Iwo Jima in WW2)
