  • yeah.. but look at them now... tons and tons of illegal serves...

  • nice spin

  • if the opponent can`t see the ball continously during a serve , cause the ball is hidden by shoulder or left arm (an old school trick !) the serve is, corresponding to IFFT rules, simply illegal and the point goes to the the other side, thanks !

  • the fuck? i still dont understand how he does that

  • that's the point

  • It definetly isnt illegal because i was watching the womens world champs and they where doing it evcery serve.

  • I can do the clear serve but the unclear serve is really hard

  • LITTLE HARD

  • interesa quien es su sponsor???

  • wat a fantastic spin...

  • great video!!!

  • This video probably is old

bacause nowadays you cannot hide the ball anymore...

  • none of yez ave a clue just wannabes get a life

  • umm no the serve is perfectly legal and its not being hid from anybody while he makes contact with it...if anybody jorgen persson would have an illegal serve

  • its illegal, he blocks the opponents vision of the ball wiht his arm...

  • the rule changed at 2002 and wang liqin performed the serv before the rule change

  • Confieso que yo intento sacar de la misma forma de wang... Alguien que me diga, porque wang tiene esa franela butterfly ? su esponsor no es DHS?quien puede aclararme esto?

  • The serve was perfect, very short.. you'll break your blade if you'll attack it!!

  • I have played pingis in 4.5 years and have played a lots of tunraments. This IS a good serve and wery effective. I trained it in and now I beat all my teamates=)

  • if your experience was crap (which it is) , jed, it would take a ladder to reach the top

  • the idea is not to force an error, but rather to catch your opponent off guard and prepare for a third ball. This serve is quite effective; obviously not if it's the only serve you use, but mixed in with topspin, fast deep underspin, and other serves, it's one of many tools you can use. the idea of serves is to keep your opponent from attacking, while setting yourself up for an attack.

  • jed....whatever man. first of all, serves have varying degrees of spin....this makes it harder for your opponent to tell the properties of the ball when you serve, such as placement, direction of spin, amount of spin, etc. the first serve is hidden until the very last minute, so when a serve could go any direction with any amount of spin, its very hard to respond to.

  • no such thing as a newbie that can serve like this, even if it's crap

  • this serve sucks man, the ball didin't spin very fast, just don't learn it, it sucks.this is only a good serve for newbies.

  • it did. i'm no professional but the spin is so obvious to the ball. maybe you haven't seen a side spin that's why you comment like that. notice how the 2nd bounce curves sharply to the left. it's not the direction of his hit that made it go left.

  • i tell you this is not good.I have 5 years of table tennis experience and i'm a pro in serves.exemple:like sidespin chopped serves it's almost good as a pro's serve.Well if got anything to say zbout it. Try me!!

  • by the way Wang liqin can serve alot better than this, this serve is just a crappe

  • jed, you are an asshole full of shit

  • well thats wang liqins old serv comparing his recent serv

  • lmao ur funny
