I find this song´s name original was Lady fantasy with Doug Irvine on lead vocal. Mick Pointer was not crap, his drum style never working well with the terrible Fish/Genesis copy era.
This song was originally called "Alice" and there is a better quality version featuring the band co-founder Doug Irvine on bass and lead vocals still before Fish would join. Mick Pointer has always been a crap drummer and listening to that recording it´s no surprise why he got fired.
Bloody brilliant! Thanks for posting, and that is something I have NEVER said before, but this is so, so special...never thought I would hear it again,.
Not many to be honest. And I WILL be there at the convention, again, in March, so I'm not too biased, if you are wondering.
You may prefer H as a singer, he's got a wonderfull voice, but in the Fish days, those lyrics were as much a key part in whole thing as the music was. Nowadays, to be fair, it's not quite the same.
Incredible that this survives! but thankyou that it does!

Wonderful! Thank you. Do you have other stuff like this?
Although,
aarrrgh!...I've played with some crappy young drummers and bass guitarists, but this tops it all.
Wich demostrates that good drummers and bass players are GODS.

You mean really crap?

Maybe crappy, but at least in those days the tunes remained in your ear.
Most people who were fans of the Fish era know it's lirics by heart.
How many H song's can you sing?
