how do you get the blue and green boxes?when i got 50 stars it said i unlocked them but they still dont show up

you have to find the green and blue switch levels...they are secret levels in the castle

You have to activate them by stepping on the buttons for it. For the invisibility cap, I'm pretty sure you unlock it by going to one of the secret courses, Vanish Cap Under the Moat. I think it speaks for itself. You find the course near/under the bridge outside the castle where the water used to be. It's a square hole in the concrete. If you got 50 stars, the water should've been cleared by now.

Ok... You know where that sun carpet is in the castle in front of the stairs? Stand in the middle of it, face the stairs, and zoom in on Mario, and then direct the angle towards the ceiling. Looking into the center of the ceiling should take you to this rainbow place. That's where the red button is for the flying cap.

you need to unlock them by the green and ble switches: the blue one you can find it when you dry up the river at the end of the world just below the bridge.... the green is at thetoxic gas world i dont remember exactly where.... search in utube for mario 64 green and blue switches

blue- u drain the water and drop down a hole to the left of the castle

green- hazy maze cave, swimming beast in the cavern. jump onits head and go to the double door jump into the portal and head left. not right, that goes to the castle

green cap is in the hazy maze cave next to the dinosaur it is marked by 2 doors, the blue cap you have to drain the lake and walk in a hole. Glad I can help

if you r fast enough you get the cap, press the switch by the building w/ the red roof then get to the cage and jump onto the box then platform to get the star. Nice walkthrough tho. ^-^

You have to hit the secret switch in the vanish cap level and all of the vanish cap blocks will become solid so you can use them.
