  • What a nice little musical treasure this is..

  • The echoes of Bossa Nova...

  • My brother was 16 that summer of 68 and he played this LP everyday until He began playing Axis: Bold As Love by Hendrix. I got a steady dose of good music.

  • It's a great, underrated song, revived by YouTube and solely by YouTube. "Still she doesn't see how she can give him peace amidst the horde." Maybe she should try it in a more private place. The horde is generally an inhibitor. Trying it in a more private place might solve the poor minstrel boy's problem.

  • @TheIsraDave bro: "leave in peace amidst the whole." It's a pun piece/whole. Peace

  • beautiful song

  • As good now as the first time I heard it!

  • Damn that Judy Collins thought she inspired some great songs in Steve.

  • Great track.

  • Rock & Roll musicians playing music with a latin back beat.....great musicians.

  • all I can is that was, and still is, great music

  • Gabor Szabo does a great interpretation of this. Not on CD still, just vinyl.

  • Is it possible for you to add another song off this album called "On The Way Home"?

  • @LowellDevil Can't say why, exactly, but "On The Way Home" has always been my favorite Buffalo Springfield song. I always felt it was Neil Young at his very best.

  • Wow- 1968. The Summer I turned 14 and thought I was the shit

  • @pataphysician66 you were, you were... I just know it.. I was too.

  • This song really makes you realize that these guys were very good musicians and could play their instruments.

  • @Keyboardman88 - Amen to that, Bro' - and their singin' was pretty good, too! Regards, '62 Mathew St. (Total Retro Rock)

  • this song makes me wanna go down to the barrio and score on some muy delicioso~ CHIQUITA ~ !!!

  • A deeply haunting "tune"--quite evocative of when I ran away from home and hitchhiked to San Francisco from Los Angeles in 1970 at the age of 17 to check out the Haight (and all of the hoopla).

    TOO COOL!

  • misformayhem you should talk to my cousin Mike....you guys sound like you have a similar story. He is the cat who turned me on to this song (as well as countless other cool bands)

He ran away to the Haight in '67 and came home in '69. My part-time guitarist buddy Bob ran away to join the scene, too. He mentions chicks crying outside of a Blue Cheer show coz they lost their boyfriends and it was so loud they were scared to go inside HA HA HA HA HA

  • I hope I don't turn him off by the fact that freely enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1971...

  • CLARIFICATION: "that I freely enlisted in the U. S. Army" - I did it for "macho" reasons like all of the the Chicanos in my 'hood then...

Barrio Keystone, South Bay area of L.A....

  • Did you find Peace and Love?

  • Could you post up "On the way Home" ?

  • True.
