Until we try the boats out we do not know whether the copying errors are beneficial or not. Furthermore whether one is beneficial or not may depend on wave size and wind strength.

I am in a work and also have many other things to do ;) it is simply obvious, that DNA is changing, yes, when replicating, it is changing its structure sometimes and we dont know if it is improvement or damage. But as nothing has ever improved in any animals, no new organs, functions etc, then we could say it is damaging, or maybe modifying, but not into creating better species.

Suppose a person developed gills.
Planet A is covered in deep water.
Planet B has no puddle of water deeper than 2 inches (50mm).
Are gills an advantage on planet A's environment or Planet B's?
