Doctor Who Figure Review - The Fifth Doctor

I'm afraid the back of the figure *isn't* accurate as they've omitted the curved side-back seams on the frock coat as well as the two buttons where those seams meet the waistline seam. (They got similar details right in the Sixth Doctor's coat.) This is a pedantic point, but in light of how splendidly accurate most CO figures are, a fair one.

I may have asked this before, but do you know why this version of the 5th Doctor doesn't have the celery?

Because it's only a collect 'n' build, therefore it's rare if it does. You can get the one with Celery, but do you want to pay about £65 for 2 figures?!

The guys in charge of Character Options said the celery 'looked silly', and decided to make this pretty much a "Castrovalva figure". I think Batmanmarch said that in his review of this figure as well. :)

Not sure, nobody really knows, but the guy who is in charge of them didn't like it (Lame!) but then they released it to Americans!

I'm very attatched to my fifth doctor figure, but mine seems to have quite a few problems. the biggest is that he seems to have some substance spilled on him, which you can only see when light reflects off him. he also has quite poorly painted braid on the coat, and I noticed that if you point his arm right up, part of the plastic on the body part is white like his jumper, instead of beige, as if the coat does not fully cover his armpitt. does yours have this arm problem?

three things:

1.what happened to the magnus greel and mr sin review???

2.sometimes the plastic becomes stuck while they are being made which explains stiff joints (they should loosen up)

3.does anyone know why they didnt put the stick of celery on this figure i just dnt get it!id like to see a few more of your reviews they are the best detailed reviews!can you do a proper review of the voyage of the damned set because the video you did of it was nothing you didnt explain detail or articulation!

becaues this figure is him in resurection of the daleks....he didnt have celery then

The Doctor wore the celery in Resurrection of the Daleks. Although Character Options states it's from Resurrection of the Daleks, it's not. The 5th Doctor had a different jumper for season 21. He also lost his sonic screwdriver in The Visitation- so it's most likely this figure shows the Doctor in Castrovalva.

No offense but i think the time crash set is nothing special. Its just the tenth doctor (which is always in sets) and the fifth doctor. He may have the celery and trousers but big deal! You can by the figures seperately for cheaper any way.

acctuly the tenth doctor in the time crash set is different too. his shirt is brown and suit is darker.

gess what i got a 5th doctor dvd with al of his episods and thay have the vegteble in it and in the classic figure it doseent and in the time crash set it dose so thay should make 1.love the review mate.love from 2000drwho(Euan)

I ordered the Time crash set off ebay the other day XD. It cost me £57.02! But completely worth it!!!!!!!! If I do decide to open it, I'll be reviewing it!

UPDATE - For my next reviews i'll probably be using my Camcorder so then I can go in really close and show you all the detail on the figures. I will be probably be doing them very soon if I have some time. They may take a bit longer to upload but atleast then you can see it in High Quality :)
