  • took me a while to realise that 'sat' meant 'set'.

  • I did a research and Ableton live seems the best music production program although it looks so bad. Do you know how it compares to FL Studio or Reason? Cheers

  • For the crossfader make sure you've pressed the 'X' icon on the middle / far right of the screen.

  • how do you put the loops in the arrangement view ??

  • @LuisC1495 Click on the loop/loops and drag it onto the arrangement view button, then drop it where you want it.

  • Hey man, whenever i get an existing wav file to be imported on this it messes the timing up completely, how can i stop this?

  • @miserablemonkey You need to spend time learning how to warp. That's a different thing you need to spend time to look into

  • this helped me ALOT! thanks!

  • @OfficialDJRuNxS You can do it either way, choose whichever suits you best

  • @abletondjcourse BEST TUTORIAL. Questions though. When i hit record on anything it starts recording imediatlly and dosnt count me off and has no metronome. How can i change this?

  • @abletondjcourse Also, when in drum rack and any keyboard view, the measure view aboe says 1 then 1.3 instead of 1, 2, 3 , 4 like a regular measure's work. How can i change this.

  • @DjTheVision Not sure if you can adjust that!

  • @abletondjcourse How can i make it so when i trigger an auido clip it starts either imdeiatlly, next bar, or next measure.

  • @DjTheVision Adjust the quantize setting at the top middle of the screen. Generally its set to '1 bar' but you can set it to 'none' or other settings as you want.

  • @DjTheVision: at the far right of the transport panel ( play, stop buttons etc..) there is a pencil and close to it there is the window where you can decide when the audio clip will start. if you select "none" the next clip will start at your next hit. sorry for my english.

  • great tutorial.

  • @YouSeeWhatISay Thank you, that's very kind of you to say so x

  • is thsis your real voice?

  • @moviem6ker this is indeed my real voice, I had to learn to say so many complicated sentences! Jo x

  • I don't have the 'x' for the crossfader on the side. I just have I/O R M and D buttons. Different version of ableton or did I miss something?

  • @ratfinkskates it sounds like you have a different version - all full versions have the crossfader

  • @abletondjcourse i have the full version but mine is missing it too

  • I record a radio show mixing live and recording to my h2 zoom, I would like to put the mix in one track then record the spots or voice over bits into the mix seperately and after recording the mix in ableton, please advise and thanks

  • I record a radio show mixing live and recording to my h2 zoom, I would like to put the mix in one track hen record the spots into the mix seperately, please advise and thanks

  • @djgregrrr I would advise recording it straight into Ableton if possible. If you only have a stereo input you can pan the music hard left and the speech hard right and then they'll be on seperate tracks so that you can adjust the levels and edit it afterwards.

  • @secretstoprospecting thank you so much for loving my accent! I'm delighted x

  • Wow thanks guys just reading through your comments on our tutorial - thank you for being so supportive. We're working hard on lots of exciting new things at the moment so we'll keep you updated! xx

  • @secretstoprospecting One video from 2010, good luck! ;)

  • btw for those who didnt figure it out...

    "live sat" = live set

jsut to clear things up lol...love the accent

  • @mobpaintballer if you think that's funny go and listen to me saying 'DJ mixer' - despite my best efforts it always comes out as 'DJ mixa'!! Such a chav with just that one word x

  • @abletondjcourse Hello. I have a question. If you dont start a clip perfectly on time will it sync it perfect for me?

  • @DjTheVision ... Ableton has the flexibility that you can set it exactly how you want it. You can set it so that when you launch a clip it will always start at the start of the next bar, or it will start at the moment you press it. (if you want to show off when you get more advanced you can even use legato to start it in time but part way through a bar!)

  • ***Out of All the Hundered of Ableton Tutorials for Beginners..I Can Relate to These Ones.. Great Job & Hope u have more in Time ***

  • @worldofdraculas oh its the thing my label payed for gotcha

  • your video helped out alot. but when i play my keyboard the harder i hit the keys the louder it is or the softer i hit them the lower the note. do you know how i can make it all the same? like no matter how hard or soft i hit a key it will be the same volume??? i appreciate it
