I recently bought a mac pro, ive used windows based pc's all my life and within a month or two of using my mac i find it a hell of a lot easier navigating my mac than my pc.
To me apples os is simpler and more refined than windows os, and a lot less prone to glitches (especially after updates).
However im definitely NOT a fanboy, i find apple as a company to be arrogant and a little too controlling.

I used Mac for 20 years.. Windows deosn't even reads Mac DVD . All Windows CD works perfect in mac. Windows doesn't support Mac format. Where as Apple does.
Ofcourse you need to convert from Windows based formats to Mac to using the iPod. iPod was originally made only for Macs. Now itunes is also for windows.

LOL? You really need to double check on some facts and use a bit more common sense.
E.g. the first mouse prototype was invented in 1963 by Douglas Engelbart, Apple was not founded until 13 years later. Apple didn't decide to use a GUI in their Lisa until after representatives visted Xerox PARC and witnessed the GUI present on the Alto.
In terms of laptop trackpad's Apple was the first to apply the types of track pads we know today to laptops. Psion had trackpads on laptops as early as 1989 though they functioned more as a modern day tablet would (e.g. see MC 200).
Regarding Firewire, they may have initiated development but they have others like Texas Instruments, Sony, IBM, etc. to thank for contributions. The first laptop with a 17" screen is rather pointless IMO as who really cares if they got one screen size "first". They have yet to release an 18.4" laptop which are becoming more common. I can't comment on back lit keyboards but I know that they did not invent the technology behind back lighting as there had been back lit keypads for far longer.

Just make sure you have Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1 installed. Beleive it or not, SP1 pretty much eliminated the "Vista is horrible!" argument as it fized a LOT of it's problems. It runs as smooth as XP on my computer.

They VISITED Apple just before the release of the Mac and were given a prototype system to develop for, but they ripped off the OS and created Windows 1. I know the history, I think it's you that needs to do the research. Oh, and Pirates of Silicon Valley is a film, a dramatised version of events. It's good, but don't take it as 100% fact.

I used Mac for 20 years.. Windows deosn't even reads Mac DVD . All Windows CD works perfect in mac. Windows doesn't support Mac format. Where as Apple does.
Ofcourse you need to convert from Windows based formats to Mac to using the iPod. iPod was originally made only for Macs. Now itunes is also for windows.
Zune doesn't work on a Mac. Microsoft doesn't suppose mac.

E.g. the first mouse prototype was invented in 1963 by Douglas Engelbart, Apple was not founded until 13 years later. Apple didn't decide to use a GUI in their Lisa until after representatives visted Xerox PARC and witnessed the GUI present on the Alto.
In terms of laptop trackpad's Apple was the first to apply the types of track pads we know today to laptops. Psion had trackpads on laptops as early as 1989 though they functioned more as a modern day tablet would (e.g. see MC 200).

Regarding Firewire, they may have initiated development but they have others like Texas Instruments, Sony, IBM, etc. to thank for contributions. The first laptop with a 17" screen is rather pointless IMO as who really cares if they got one screen size "first". They have yet to release an 18.4" laptop which are becoming more common. I can't comment on back lit keyboards but I know that they did not invent the technology behind back lighting as there had been back lit keypads for far longer.

You know what's funny? PC's have caught up and surpassed Apple computers.
The only reason Apple comps were so popular when they first came out was because of how advanced and new the Hardware was, PC's have no caught up and surpassed it in that area.
Every Apple computer I've ever used has been shit. From brand new G5's to powerbooks.
I'll take a Dell XPS with Vista Ultimate/XP professional with SP1 over ANY Apple product, ANY DAY.

Just make sure you have Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1 installed. Beleive it or not, SP1 pretty much eliminated the "Vista is horrible!" argument as it fized a LOT of it's problems. It runs as smooth as XP on my computer.
Mac's had their short-lived supiriority trip, but now the crown is back on the PC.

Microsoft are behind, but I really do think that's down to management, they seem to have a "what's apple doing and what can we take" mentality, when they should just be thinking "what can we do that no one else has done" or "sod apple just do our own thing" mentality. First it failed right when I was about to beat Splinter Cell Double Agent, 2nd time it failed when I was about to beat Halo 3.
