I've tried lots of different ropes too,..my favorites are Buddy Lee's ropes. His training programs are pretty good too. I've abandoned all other exercise but jump rope now,..45 minutes 2 or 3 times/week.
right now you're doing 10 minutes,..before you know it you'll be going 30 minutes. Then once you get to 30 minutes it'll be an hour non-stop,..trust me i've been in your shoes. My record is 1:20!! -

Yea, try 30!!! its crazy!! but u have to do it if u want to become champ, most fighters jump for a couple rounds, its hard for someone to be so determined to be the best..and do it for 30 mins straight no rest at all.
to many people focus on all the skipping, running, part... those should b done, but not majorly, sparring shud be focused on the most, builds stamina, speed, power, chin, heart, everything, its the closest u gt to the real thing, practically the sme.
