  • I'd love to visit Baltimore to see a game and visit the city. Your beautiful stadium revolutionized ballparks and still looks to be one of the nicest in the game. Unfortunately I'll be stuck with Skydome (Rogers Centre) for long, long while.

  • see as soon as the o's start doing well all these people are gonna magically become orioles fans its bull Im a Orioles fan through and through

  • yeah whos gonna go to see a shit squad thats 29.5 games outta 1st place in september ?

  • The only time the place is Full is when the Yankees or Red Sox come to town.

  • Yeah, that's when we get to see the majority of their fans, their bandwagons

  • This makes me so mad. What business does a Ohio based station have commenting on the state of our sports teams? Browns suck, Indians suck, Blue Jackets suck, Cavs choke repeatedly.

  • yo im from Baltimore and i think the o's suck, huge Ravens fan though

  • Im sure the only reason the stadium was half empty #1 because tickets are expensive these days and #2 they aren't the best team to watch so I don't blame my fellow O's fans.

  • still, it is september who the hell wants to cheer for a team with no chance.. if they did good maybe we would go and see them

  • i sorta believe that, but not really. remember '05 when we started off amazing? bedard and tejada were carrying us? no one was going then.

  • really? the orioles played a weekend series against the Rockies in June of '05 when they were in first place in the AL East and they averaged 46,000 fans for the three home games (49,000 for the Friday game, the 6th largest crowd ever at Camden yards at the time). I agree with melhorn14, fans will return if the O's do well again...

  • I remember that series and wondering why so many people came.

Some of the series' against the Nats sell well, and it isn't a massive away fan takeover like Sox/Yanks.

Another telling night: the night they were celebrating Cal going to the Hall of Fame, 43,000+ showed up to see a meaningless game against the Rays (note: the 2007 Rays, not the amazing '08 Rays).

The fans are still in Baltimore. The ballpark is still beautiful. What's missing? An exciting team to love and ownership that cares.

  • I know, but the games I went, not many. With that said, I think we're headed in the right direction. The signing of Markakis definitely helped.

  • oh yeah, i'm anxious to see how well koji euhara will pitch, i know hes old but hopefully he still has a good 2-3 years left in him ( sorry if i mispelled his name)

  • I guess all the Red Sox bandwagoners stole it.

  • Simply pathetic.

  • i am one too but when the team hasent had a winning season since 97 or 98 you can see why there arent people there

  • Orioles fan are pathetic, and this coming from one.
