There are no manuals, but you can find plenty of pictures of trucks. Go to Brickshelf and search for 'trial truck' or 'truck trial'. It may take some searching, but there is probably no better place in the Internet to look for pics of these trucks and their mechanics.
There are many various suspension types used, most popular is a pendular suspension. Aro uses 2 PF XLs for driving I think, and he uses two battery boxes to make sure he has enough power for both of them.
Now, I don't speak German, but I do realize he seems to be obsessed with petroleum distillates. Why?
