  • the date was yesterday july 18 but they tore it down already?im going august 6 and i wanna take pictures of it to remember it :P i alwaysed wanted to go on that ride :( every year i was to short DX RIP now im finally tall enought and i cant go on it! FAIL

  • @topzebra1 18th

  • Too bad it wasn't the Original Great American Scream Machine. Then it's initials could've been the OR.G.A.S.M. HAAA!!

  • this hurted my neck so much.. i regret going on. nitro is the best one :)

  • I rode this thing in 1989, my senior year of high school. Not as hairy as the coasters that came after it, but still fun nonetheless!

  • looks like a version of Viper to be honest. same aspects.

  • I went on it on Saturday, I kept my eyes closed the whole time. My friends went on it 6 times in a row because the line was short and they convinced me to go on it.

  • Kingda Ka wasnt open was it:(

  • this was originally six flags great americas if you havent noticed the "great american" part in its name...

  • Nope.

This ride was built in 1989 and is still in operation.

The ride your thinking of was called Shockwave (a slightly smaller clone of this ride) and it opened 1988 and was torn down for scrap metal in 2003.

  • Yeah thats what i meant. This is a clone of Shockwave.

  • :O THE CHILLER if u look at 1:25 u cant see the chiller in the back ;D rip:Chiller :'( we will miss u!

  • such an old ride!!! when i went on for the first time and heard the screeching chains i was like "omg!!"

  • me 2!

  • Wow...i didn't realize till seeing this video that the trim brakes on this ride before the cobra roll actually stop the train completely? That's crazy. I've been on many Arrow coasters at different parks, and yes the trim brakes slow you down before a certain element, but never that much lol!

  • I went on this it was AWESOME!!

  • at 1:25 i think u can see nitro that ride is bestly but this great american ownz every ride there this is the best

  • Great camera work. I heard a lot of bad things about this coaster before going on it. A lot of people told me to skip it completely because it gave them headaches. I'm glad I went on it to see for myself. Lots of fun but the harness dug into my shoulders. No headaches, though. It seems like it would be easy just to put some more comfortable restraints on this. Adrenaline and fear are great, neck and shoulder pain just suck.

  • that was my first roller coaster! not a good pick O_O lol it was fun but pains everywhere

  • Not that rough... gees. You're racing around and going upside down. You should feel something.

  • was he only one on ride?

  • this arrow dynamics coaster looks phenomenal. i dont care if its rough, im a roller coaster freak and will ride anything.

  • The ride is old, and bangs you around a bit. I went on it 5 times in a row without getting a headache, but the other guy puked afterwards.

  • Phenomenal camera work. I haven't been on this ride yet. I keep hearing that it is poorly designed and gives you a headache from slamming your head into the shoulder harness. Is this true? Anyway, kudos for keeping the camera so steady and giving me a good idea of what it's like to ride this thing.

  • i went on this

  • What kind of camera did you use?

  • just a sony digital camera, dsp series i think
