  • @TRAININGFLAME Yes, it's about an acre I guess

  • lol 0:13 what a hiccup/gasp noise

  • You have a snake and a snapping turtle in your pond?? Wow!

  • @ajaxrules1975 There are at least five snakes that live in my pond and probably more than five snapping turtles. I finally have a couple of snapping turtles that will come to eat when I throw in some hotdogs or other food. If I make any sudden moves though they are outta there! My red-earred sliders aren't so afraid.

  • awesome! we have a pond on my wifes dads land....dont think many fish are in there these days tho..every time someone fishes there all they catch is the snapping turtles lol but here in va we have lots of copperheads and rattlers just the other day we killed a poisonous snake that we have never seen before her grandpa said it was a poisonous water snake...but not a moccasin

  • uhm....lady, the snake is coming towards you...

  • water snakes are funny, they are pretty mean though.....

  • id love ta live in a place where thats just an every day thing. this ladys proly got names for the both of um.

  • i would kill the snake and feed it to the turtle, lol nice post

  • it was a silver back gorilla

  • its an anaconda..what r u saying a copper mount..look at the circular pattern on its side of the body..

  • prob a coppermount bit it

  • Nice

  • Nice pond and cool snapper it was a northern water snake makbe a water moccasin

  • @bwfootball30 nope northern water snake. water moccasins or cotton mouths are fat snakes with stripes they are a member of the viper family. I only know this because it is a constant debate here in southern New England.

  • It's a nonvenomous water snake.

  • It probably thought the turtles movements were a fish.

  • I love how the person narrates everything xD

  • Awesome pond!

  • lmao, all of the snake guesses are different...fantastic.

  • Nice pond and animals in it! And ya it was definately a northern water snake.

  • Pretty cool that the water was shallow and clear enough to be able to see all of that.

  • this obviously is a rattle headed copper moccasin

  • Nah its obviously a copper tongued rattle racer.

  • naw its a black corn rat mamba

  • it's obviously a siamese diamondback legless swamp iguana with cheese.

  • hahaha lol thx i never knew :P

  • roflmao dude its a fuzzy copper toed yellow belly silverback !!!

  • Nah, its obviously a copper tree sidewinder mamba

  • no..its a black withering monkey

  • def not a rattle snake dombass

  • what kind of snake was it?

  • rattle snake!

  • hahaha!

  • Looks like a northern water snake, from the pattern. Highly aggressive snake with anticoagulant in the saliva (your blood wont clot for a while)

  • sweet pond!

  • Oh my gosh, I love your pond soap opera. Good on you for looking after them all!

  • There is about a bizzillion venomous snakes down where i live... out of the top 10 most deadly snakes about 8 live around me. AUSTRALIA!! lolol

  • but the poisonous snakes in Australia live in the out back and almost never come to close to humans

  • thats horse shit we used to find them in our house all the time when my dad got relocated down there. I hate snakes.

  • thats not true. They proved the most poisonous snake( the black mumba) rarely comes in contact with humans.

  • Okay I may have exadurated when i said they all live close to me (i dont like outback).. But atleast 2 live in and around my house because Ive seen them

  • oops i meant i dont live outback

  • black mamba = africa, has been known to live in the trees and bushes near villages

  • not to mention they smell humans up to 175ft away and they will actually attack them, by going after them.

  • I don't kill them... They are as much a part of my pond as are the fish, turtles and frogs. They never bother me... well, except if I fish then I always get at least one come begging for a fish. Once I give them a fish they go away.

  • fur real man

  • this video is so crazy

  • what kind of snake is that

  • It's a northern water snake and not poisonous at all. They will bite though.

  • what kind of snake is that then and are copper heads poisonos?

  • lets ananlyze your question in every way...first its spelled copperheads and second its poisonous...and third of all are you serious? hell ya copperheads are poisonous..if you dont believe me try to pet on..maybe it will role on its back and let you pet its belly..its a pit viper which means it can see heat..kinda like the alien from Predator

  • theres copper heads down here were i live 3 types of rattle snakes and coral snake

  • yes they are poisonos there are copper heads down here were i live

  • that looks like an eastern milk snake are u sure it a copper head

  • Usually ignorance. I get comment all the time about Hotdog being a Copperhead which of course he isn't... Even yesterday a guest at my pond freaked when he saw one of my beauties and screamed, "Copperhead". Lot of snakes get killed because of misidentification.

  • you sound like a old lady when ya said snapping turtle

  • Isn't that something? Well guess what? I AM an old lady! How do you think I can spend so many hours at my pond? I'm long retired ;c) YAY for me!

  • what snake was that anyway

  • His name is Hotdog. I just call them water snakes but like RIPCortez27 said in a comment he's actually a Northern Water snake. I leave them alone and don't pick them up. I'm not afraid to handle them I just don't want to worry them.

  • one time i went to this lake i think i saw a water moccasin or a diamon back water snake i could not get close enough to see what snake it was

  • even the snake knows not to mess with the snapping turtle, he got the hell out of there before he became a peice of spagetti!

  • did you kill the snake

  • Of course not. I have several in my pond and if they see me fishing they will come begging for food. I catch them a little bluegill and hand it to them without a problem. Then I can fish without looking down at a sad little hungry snake face looking up at me.

  • considering that snakes have been on earth killing prey before humans...i really doubt he needs ur feeding help

  • hotdog is a northern water snake.

  • Yes he is. I have a few in my pond and they vary in color. Smiling Sally (not pictured here) is by far the prettiest with vivid reds and oranges.

  • do you keep any of them?

or just let them live in the pond.

    i have 2.

  • he sounds like the old man from family guy

  • hahah it does!

  • It's a she, not a he!

  • yeah he does...

you have 113 new messages... haven't seen the newspaper for a while

  • @Gh0sT187 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! That shit had me rollin!HAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAHAHAHAA!

  • @Gh0sT187 he sounds nothing like herbert. idiot

  • cute. i love it. i wish i had a pond with snakes and turtles.

  • omg this is the coolest thing ever

i would so do this all day if i wanted to

it must be amazing seeing all the fish and snakes n turtles just swim around in your pond

  • I spend as much time as I can at my pond and I think it's cool too. Thanks for the nice comment. I'm lucky enough to live in a small town where it's still very inexpensive to own a good piece of land.

  • @SlipKnoTRokr brownie and rocky are getting after it

  • I throw bread to my fish and the turtle came along and ate it. The snapping turtles in my pond seem to eat anything I throw in.

  • my water turtles will eat fish food and apples or whatever else i put in their tank. their pigs really. its amazing how you think an animal doesnt eat something then you throw it in there and it gobbles it up.

  • snakes don't eat bread.

  • No, but I didn't think they would grab a hotdog either. My little water snake will eat a bite of hotdog from time to time and will srike at about anything that gets close.

  • water moccasin

  • Hotdog is a common water snake

  • haha yea i saw that vid with the hot dog, thats pretty cool, i guess u wud have to put like a meatball hero on a hook to catch one.

  • u have too much fun at that pond lol..is that y ur name is at the bass pond? lol yea thats like the dream pond for a fisher

  • You'd be surprised how fast the fish in a pond can get wise to a fisherman - especially if the water is the least bit clear. There can be a jillion fish down there waving their little fins and laughing like crazy at you when you throw something in with a hook on it. They are a lot smarter than we give them credit for! I have fish that know the difference between a quarter size piece of biscuit and pancake before it hits the water.
