  • Just watched this again. In the months since I first saw it I have to say there have been few similarly short messages that make the point so well and with such clarity.

Reminds me of a quote from one of IBM's former presidents, Thomas J Watson (appointed 1915). I was unaware of this until I saw their centennial video ( /39jtNUGgmd4 at 1:18) on YT. As Watson put it, "all of the problems of the World could be settled easily if people (men) were only willing to think".

  • I think its important to tell the truth.

So I say put "No religion" if its the truth, otherwise ... don't. (You can choose not to answer at all - optional question)

I am an atheist and I always put "No religion".

  • I don't care what the humanists say... the only reason i put no religion is that I don't want to be the only country outside of Iran, that has unelected members of the clergy in government

  • Well done :)

  • Daniel Dennett is simply honest and that he shares in that which we each can clearly hold onto. In turn, we can share his knowledge to our friends.

  • what is the original footage? Who is talking?

  • @emiledingemans Apologies for not putting this in the Info. It's philosopher Daniel Dennet talking.

  • Excellent. This is so good. Punchy. No messing.

  • Aw, gee, 1 dislike. What's to dislike?
