Good days, bad days, music life is fun, boring at times. You could be having your best day, but the drummer is being a dickhead. By the way, coke and playing music in a band never really goes too well, from my own experience.
lennon, what a spoiled prat::::: what a capricious man! wish we could have hear the other one react!!! are they all on weeds!! they stand aside the song :!)
This is what is is.....A few great muscians, stoned and having fun !!! Stop analyzing it to death.. I'm glad they done it . Its not like they are actually trying to record a freaking hit record !
I have no idea what most of the commenters below are on about - have you never been in a recording environment? That was pretty normal stuff, and in no way did I find Lennon being a douchebag. If you think that's bossy, you'll never make it in a creative endeavor. Somebody has to step up and get things done (and as he said early on, if anyone else wants to take over, go ahead - no one did)
I meant that you were being sarcastic about Paul being "clean and perfect" - I would NEVER deny that he's a great bass player, the best I can think of!
But you gotta admit, he has had those three pot busts...
The last one wasn`t on him. Linda took the blame for that. It was in her suitcase. The Tokyo bust was funny. Paul had been denyed access to Japan for years bcause of his 1973 drug bust, and the first thing he does when he`s allowed in is to smuggle dope
And i love his explanation for his first bust.. "Well, fans send me seeds all the time, and i i plant them, and two of them came up illegal" Sure, yeah. Paul didn`t know right? Haha, he`s just great!
i dont undersatnd what pot has to do with being a great musician. the only thing pot ruins is looks and brains. if anything it enhances the musical ability.
by "clean and perfect" he meant that paul was OCD about his music. he wanted retake after retake in hopes that one of them would come out perfect.
Paul was a huge perfectionist in his music. However, the context was (or looked like)
Person 1: All the beatles did drugs
Person 2: Not Paul, he was clean and perfect
... which in that context would be untrue because we do know that, for better or for worse, Paul did do certain drugs. I wasn't mentioning his music, if you notice I later called him the best bass player I could possibly think of.

I love John! However, when he did drugs and alcohol is what I don't like about him. All of the other stuff besides that was great! Also I'm a big Stevie Wonder fan too! Yes I do like Paul as well! So thanks for sharing this with everyone! :)
Anyone who puts John on a pedistal for anything but his musical ability is an idiot. Paul should have come over and beat some senseles with his drum sticks...don't think he couldn't.
A grumpy Lennon giving orders, opinions and manifestos. Bossman John, like it or not, was better when more humble, less drugged-with friendly competition and the odd donneybrook or rowl. Good submission. It sucks when your "A Game" is best under turmoil like in 1968-but that's life.
Lennon is trying to get thing's going!!!where is PAUL?WHY DIDN'T HE KICK IN WITH DRUM'S???

my god ,
chapman should be shot just as john was shot ,
twice in the back and twice in the shoulder,
to make him relize what john went through,
he would say ,
" my god this is what john went through when i shot him" thats what he would say , and he would truly regret what he did to john

Oh yeah, in the news video for that, you can see him and Linda try really hard not to crack up when they say that :D
Also in that video "Hi Hi Hi" is playing in the background which I LOVE

Yes....you write like you personally know Paul and were there when he took drugs. Shut up and enjoy the music.

Um, don't tell me to shut up. I was clarifying something I said a month ago, and for your information, I do enjoy the music very much.

I wish John had sung that song with a softer voice like he did Imagine, instead of the harsh nazely voice.
Was he taunting Paul at 03:00 shouting "DEAD, DEAD, DEAD" LOL
