  • super

  • love it!

  • .. and people just love to belittle Schoenberg's music. this is real music, and anybody who can't find some sort of excitement listening to it may as well be deaf.

  • @ewrobbins The worst thing about it is that they're doing it even on videos of Schoenberg's highly accessible late-Romantic music, which makes me suspect that they're not even listening.

  • @umbrellashotgunman

Seriously. Anybody who would belittle this is full of it. I can understand how somebody might not light Claire de Lune or his serial work but even that has wonderful fruits if it is played with an understanding of its melodic content though your ear must be able to comprehend abstract harmony and dissonance. I think Gould understood Shonbergs piano pieces better than anyone else that I've heard.

  • Does anyone know the name of this piece. God it's beautiful.

  • @Kraaaaaaaamer

    Verklarte Nacht (Transfigured Night)

  • unusual string plucking by the violinist adds such an interesting texture to the piece.

  • Wonderful! A piece of music of it`s best.

  • its amazing how un-dominant the violins are. violins that can play quietly: a rarity

  • beautiful inspiring music

  • 5:53 sends shivers down my spine.

  • @wowrazzor 6:00 = Eargasm

Go tell your mommy that you hate someone who it´s was GREAT, and you will never be nothing.

  • indeed, Schoenberg was a poor componost(¿?) but surely he was an enormous composer... music will always be in debt with him.

even if he just had composed this beauty, that alone would have been epic. fortunately we have 50 opus from schoenbergs genius.

  • Congratulations! Your poor englosh has earned itself as a new meme amongst myself and a few friends! You must be honoured.
