I love Jon Stewart, but I still think that Kilborn was funnier (not as politically astute, mind you, but funnier). It's a shame that he's not on TV these days.

This is classic Kilborn era Daily Show. The joke is they don't show the end of the video which actually has a happy conclusion. I used to watch this show everyday. Kilborn,A.Whitney Brown,Beth Littleford,John Bloom. Does anyone else remember Five Questions? It's all just memories now never to be seen again. I wish I'd thought to tape some of these. Andy Richter era Conan O'Brien as well. Never to be seen again.

I had a similar experience at a GBV show. Bob was sharing beers with me from his cooler, and he stuck his microphone in my face, so I grabbed it. That wasn't what Bob wanted me to do, needless to say. I never got total control of the mike, and Bob was cool about it. It was one of the best shows ever. I didn't do the stage dive to the floor or get a toilet swirly, though I probably deserved to.

I may be a Jon Stewart Daily Show fan but I want to see more of the Kilborn Era of the Daily Show. All of us Stewart Fans may not understand Kilborn that well but I am willing to see it.
