Latest one comes in Core Duo 3.06 Ghz processr, 8Gb RAM & 256 GB SSD Hard Drive. All this in just 1.5kg. What can I say?

Check it out on the vaio UK website. I'm talking about the most expensive one- ie. the one with the highest specs. It's around 3000 euro I think.

oh k..Thanx..funny how uk get 3.06 ghz for the higher end and over here in US get 2.8 ghz but 512 ghz.. ..cause i working on to get the top of the line buy end of this year...

They could improve the laptop to getting rid of that optical drive to save weight or replace with it bigger battery. Also Processor uses quite lot of energy. I would like to see sony make series that have ULV processor and no optical hard drive. They could get 16-hours of battery life out of it.

Whether you want the optical drive or not is a matter of personal taste. I'd personally want it for making blu-ray movies.
