Playing the blues is not just playing within a blues scale or over top of a blues progression. Blues is a feeling and a style of playing that is clearly not present in malmsteen's playing. Stick to neoclassical pentatonics Malmsteen....i still won't listen.

You must remember that Yngwie is a proffesional, I don't think that guys on a medium level should try to do play after his videos. And if you actually keep your eyes all the time in his "learning-movies" you actually can learn a new technique. But I recommend to be pretty good at guitar if you want to play after Malmsten, because I just don't see many people here on youtube that can play that stuff right out.
