This is called Shishio Makoto no Kumikiyouku in japanese, so it has to do with the Shishio saga in general, not just a character.

I don't know about you guys but my favourite arc is defenetaly Shishio's (takes 1/3 of serie :p ) Amaksa Shougu isn't bad either but the rest..

They cover the Jinchuu arc in Samurai X: Trust, Betrayal, and Reflections

@DiamondFang That is all completely wrong.. was never a samurai in both samurai X and rurouni kenshin, and the english translations are all wrong on part of "manslayer".. they dramatised it to make it seem better, when the real translation is "killer"

Its true that Kenshin is more of an Assassin than a Samurai by title, but his swordmanship is still that of a Samurai and not that of a sleathly assassin.. If anything hes a Samurai Assassin. Wrong translations arent always technically wrong but rather revised. manslayer is just another way of saying killer. And its still true that that the sins of his past comes back to haunt him and that he was known as a manslayer in that era... So it cant be..

@DiamondFang bs, samurai/retainer was in caste system of japan.. however in flashbacks in the anime you can see that he was in a slave caravan which is attacked by bandits.. so he is a peasant. He also cant be a samurai assassin or what fucking ever because samurai serve a master, and assassins were never mass-murderers nor were samurai. Also the whole first 50 episodes is him subduing the killer instinct, which is what most people do since most dont know how to use it or are scared of it.

Samurai's has masters but i've already said that he was a Ronin samurai (a masterless samurai) The best way to describe Kenshin is to call him a samurai assassin. Because one, his swordmenship was like a samurai and his role in the war was a Assassin. Assassin are ppl that usually killed high ranking targets similar to what Kenshin did. first 50 episodes?

Kenshin vs Saito may be the best fight in the TV show, the more realistic in techniques and accurate in timing terms. The last one with Aoshi was cool too. Shisio, Soujiro and Amakusa duels are nice too although I dont like a lot the unreal stuff (shisio moves, etc)

Perhaps the OVAS Rurouni Kenshin Tsuioku Hen have the best fights for this great Anime, like Kenshin vs Saito at the end of the OVA 4
