  • @zeek798 thank you, i love joints too ;-}

  • @zeek798 >This was a bad jam back in the day! I loved this band from Brooklyn, NY! They had an incredible sound! Such memories for me growing up as a teen listening to this song! I would do my homework with my girlfriends and we would be grooving to the sounds of Cymande! My daughter feels like she missed out on some incredible bands because their are none today! She is right! I do not listen to anything today. They are to busy sampling the sounds from the past!

  • @debgirl12000 Cymande is from London, England.... Although their sound was more fully embraced in New York City. They were a bit too funky for their London constituents in 1972...

  • @cintenta Thank you so much cintenta for the info! I never knew this after so many years! British funk! You know us New Yorkers think everyone is from here! LOL! WOW! I loved this band. I play their songs every day. Reminds me of my teenage days! There grooves were tight and their harmonies were smooth. I will never forget this band ever! Keep on grooving with the Britich funk!

  • Only 2 comments on one of the most richly layered club bangers of all time?Fusion,World Music or whatever you call it...SLAMMIN!

  • @eldbug spot on mate,check mout 'dove' too.

  • @eldbug - that's because so few people actually know the name of this song or the group that made this song. Everyone who listens to old hip hop or old vintage R&B will easily remember this track, it's unforgettable.

  • first comment on an awesome track
