hi , i had the surgery 5 days ago and i took off the thing yeasterday and its realy swollen is that normal ? and is 2 weeks is enough to go to school??? plz rply babe
Yes, it's going to be swollen for quite a while. It was well over a month before everything went down for me. You can go back to school in 2 weeks, but you're not going to look completely like yourself. I went back to work after a week and was still wearing bandages on my nose (but no cast). Be proud of what you did...you're going to look fantastic soon.
I was warned that it would hurt. But I didn't think it did at all. But it's a really weird feeling having all of that packing pulled out of your nose!
hi there well it's so nice of you to share your everyday experience with us.. i am also planning to have a noselift hehe well im asian and as we all know it we're not much blessed with noses.. and i just have a lil question, uhm as you speak were u breathing from your nose or from your mouth?or maybe the whole point is after the surgery how many days will u breathe from the mouth?
I was breathing through my mouth. For the first few days you have packing in your nose, so you can't breath at all. Even after it's taken out, the insides of your nose are really swelled, so you have difficulty breathing through your nostrils. It was a few weeks until I could breath normally through my nose.
hope that it not hurt becouse im gonna have mine done soon!! and im abit scared but hearing many ppl say that its not hurt it make me feel abit ok =] thanks for posting hun tc xoxoxo

I'm pretty sure that before you go to school the swelling should go down by then. Within 21 days, you'll be looking presentable.
Are you having regular check-in's with your doctor? I went back a few times within the first few months for him to check out the progress.

Yes, there is pain. It's not that bad; mostly uncomfortable.

My op is in about two weeks and I'm absolutely frekkin' out about the nose pack removal. Can anyone, who's experienced, tell me how bad it really is?
Many Thanks!

hi. i had my nose done november 2009 and im not happy with it it still looks wide. how long did you have to wait till you saw definition?

My swelling probably lasted about 1 1/2 months. But I think it was a couple months until it looked like it does now.
I should mention that I had really dark circles though for almost a few months.

Pain isn't too much of an issue. It's more that you'll be fairly uncomfortable. Best of luck with your surgery.
